(Dryburn Brae, West Linton) (Temporary Closing) Order 2021
The Scottish Borders Council (Dryburn Brae, West Linton) (Temporary Closing) Order 2021 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 24 August 2021 and is expected to remain in effect for a period of one day between the hours of 09:30 and 18:00. The Order is required for Scottish Water ironwork replacement.
When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along Dryburn Brae, West Linton from number 5 to number 19. The alternative route for northbound traffic is via Dryburn Brae, Deanfoot Road, School Brae, the A702 and Dryburn Brae to the point of closure, for southbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.

(B7062 West Lodge Bridge) (Temporary Closing) Order 2021
The Scottish Borders Council (B7062 West Lodge Bridge) (Temporary Closing) Order 2021 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 23 August 2021 and is expected to remain in effect for a period of three days between the hours of 09:00 and 15:00 each day. The Order is required for resurfacing works on the bridge.
When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along the B7062 at West Lodge Bridge east of Peebles. The alternative route for eastbound traffic is via the B7062, A72, B7088 and B7062 to the point of closure, for westbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing. (Various Roads - Spaces For People) (Temporary Speed Restriction) No 3 Order 2021
The Scottish Borders Council (Various Roads - Spaces for People) (Temporary Speed Restriction) No 3 Order 2021 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 00:01 on 23 August 2021 and is expected to remain in effect until 23:59 on 4 April 2022. The Order is required for the Spaces for People initiative to make the lengths of road safer for cyclists and walkers.
When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle:
|a) at a speed exceeding 40mph along the length of the following roads in the
Scottish Borders: |i) D43/5 Nenthorn from the A6089 westwards for 450 metres, |ii) D45/3 Nenthorn from the D43/5 southwards for 115 metres, (iii) A72 Walkerburn from Nether Caberston eastwards for 360 metres; lb) at a speed exceeding 30mph along the B6360 Gattonside from The Cottage
westwards for 410 metres; and |c) at a speed exceeding 20mph along the B709 Heriot from the Strip westwards
for 200 metres.
The temporary speed restrictions will only be in effect when appropriate signage is in place on the affected lengths of road.
The Scottish Borders Council (Various Roads - Spaces for People) (Temporary Speed Restriction) Order 2020 made on 24 August 2020, the Scottish Borders Council (Various Roads - Spaces for People) (Temporary Speed Restriction) No 2 Order 2020 made on 28 September 2020 and The Scottish Borders Council (Various Roads - Spaces for People) (Temporary Speed Restriction) No 1 Order 2021 made on 26 April 2021 will be revoked where they relate to the roads detailed in 3(a)(iii), 3(b) and 3(c) above.
