Temporary Closure of Various Roads, Lyme Regis
DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along VARIOUS ROADS, LYME REGIS; Colway Lane between its junctions with Pine Ridge and North Avenue, Roman Road between its junctions with South Avenue and Haye Lane, Haye Lane between its junctions with Roman Road and B3165 Lyme Road. The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 6 September 2021 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 1 November 2021 between 0930 and 1600. Please note that only one road at a time will be closed as and when indicated by signs on site. This Order will enable Western Power Distribution, safe access to carry out a large overhead line refurbishment project.
