CROYDON COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT, 1984, SECTION 14 AS AMENDED THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991 AND ALL OTHER ENABLING POWERS
WHITGIFT AVENUE, SOUTH CROYDON TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC & PARKING
1. Croydon Council, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate works on behalf of the National Grid, they have made an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicular traffic movements and parking in Whitgift Avenue.
2. Whilst the said works are taking place:-
a) Whitgift Avenue will be closed between its junction with Haling Park Road and a point 10 metres east of the common boundary of Nos. 40 and 42 Whitgift Avenue;
b) Parking within the 12 permit/pay and display bays opposite Nos. 40 to 48 Whitgift Avenue will be suspended.
3. During the closure the diversion route for traffic will be via Nottingham Road and Warham Road, as appropriately signed.
4. The Order will come into operation on 30 August 2021 and it is anticipated that the works will be completed on 22 October 2021. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.
5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:
(a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said works;
(b) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes;
(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

MELVILLE AVENUE, SOUTH CROYDON TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC
1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate telecoms ducting works they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily prohibit vehicular traffic movements in Melville Avenue.
2. Whilst the said works are taking place Melville Avenue will be closed at its junction with Coombe Road.
3. During the works the alternative route for traffic will be via Coombe Road, Croham Park Avenue, Binfield Road, Castlemaine Avenue and Ballater Road, as appropriately signed.
4. The restriction shall not apply in respect of:
(a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said works;
(b) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes;
(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.
5. The Order will come into operation on 30 August 2021 and it is anticipated that the works will be carried out within three days. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984, SECTION 14, AS AMENDED TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICULAR OR PEDESTRIAN ACCESS AND TEMPORARY PARKING RESTRICTIONS
1. Croydon Council, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate essential highway maintenance works that may take place within the London Borough of Croydon, they intend to amend The Croydon (Highways Maintenance Works) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular and Pedestrian Traffic and Parking Order) 2021, the effect of which would be to allow the following measures to be introduced, providing that the relevant permissions have been granted by the Council, in any street listed in the Schedule to this Notice for which Croydon Council are the highway authority:
(a) temporarily introduce one-way traffic for the duration of the works in those streets or lengths of streets;
(b) temporarily close to vehicular traffic those streets or lengths of streets;
(c) temporarily close any adjoining streets to vehicular traffic where this is considered necessary to facilitate the work in progress;
(d) temporarily introduce banned turns, footway closures or waiting and loading restrictions at any time should this be required; and
(e) temporarily suspend bus lanes/stops, cycle lanes, parking bays or any other traffic restriction as required where this is considered necessary to facilitate the work in progress.
2. Wherever the work happens to be in progress, no person may cause or permit any vehicle to:-
(a) proceed in a direction other than that indicated by a traffic sign, or
(b) proceed in any street or length of street which may at the time be subject to a road closure until the completion of the work allows.
3. Whilst the provisions of the amended Order remain in force, waiting or loading by vehicles would be prohibited at any time in those streets or lengths of streets specified where work is in progress. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction on waiting imposed by this Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
4. All works requiring a road closure will be advertised complete with any diversion route on our website at the address below.
5. Frontages affected by the above restrictions will receive notification letters approximately two weeks before any works commence.
6. The amended Order will come into operation on the 27 August 2021 and will remain in force until 30 October 2022, 18 months from the operational date of the original Order.
(Note: The provisions of the Order will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016. (Access for frontagers would be maintained whilst the work proceeds).

ESTCOURT ROAD & SOUTHCOTE ROAD, SOUTH NORWOOD NOTICE OF TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF PARKING
1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate works to locate and raise a buried manhole, on behalf of Thames Water, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict parking in Estcourt Road and Southcote Road.
2. Whilst the said works are taking place parking in Estcourt Road and Southcote Road will be suspended and waiting and loading restrictions will apply "at any time" on both sides of the road in the following locations:-
a) in Estcourt Road, between the common boundaries of Nos. 78 ad 80 and Nos. 94 and 96 Estcourt Road;
b) in Southcote Road between its junction with Estcourt Road and the north-western boundary of No. 81 Estcourt Road.
3. The Order will come into operation on 16 August 2021 and it is anticipated that the works will be completed on 20 August 2021. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.
4. The restriction shall not apply in respect of:
(a) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes;
(b) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer;
(c) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said works.

LODGE LANE AND HEADLEY DRIVE, NEW ADDINGTON TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC
1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate a works to remove a kiosk on behalf of the National Grid, they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic in Lodge Lane and Headley Drive, New Addington.
2. Whilst the works are taking place:
a) Vehicles proceeding in Lodge Lane will be banned from turning right into Headley Drive;
b) Vehicles proceeding in Headley Drive will be banned from turning right into Lodge Lane.
3. Whilst the restrictions are in force, the alternative route for traffic will be via Field Way, Merrow Way and Headley Drive.
4. The Order will come into operation on 01 September 2021 and it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 18 October 2021. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.
5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:
(a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said works;
(b) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes;

ADDISCOMBE ROAD, CROYDON
TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC
1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate tram line inspection works, they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic movements in Addiscombe Road, Croydon.
2. Whilst the said works are taking place, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed in Addiscombe Road between its junctions with Canning Road and Chepstow Road.
3. Whilst the closure remains in force the alternative route for diverted traffic will be via Chepstow Road, Park Hill Rise and Park Hill Road as appropriately signed.
4. The Order will come into operation on the 18 September 2021 and it is anticipated that the works will be carried out in 2 days. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.

TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC
1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate Thames Water works, they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic movements in Strathyre Avenue, Norbury.
2. Whilst the said works are taking place, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed in Strathyre Avenue outside no.157.
3. Whilst the closure remains in force the alternative route for diverted traffic will be via Dalmeny Avenue, Ederline Avenue, Norbury Crescent as appropriately signed.
4. The Order will come into operation on the 31 January 2022 and it is anticipated that the works will be carried out in 5 days. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.
