(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS, EQUESTRIANS AND BICYCLES)
Bridleway No 1 Great & Little Broughton
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 - Section 14(1) (as amended)
The North York Moors National Park Authority has made an Order, the effect of which is to make the following closure in the parish of Great & Little Broughton in the District of Hambleton:
No pedestrian, horse rider or cyclist shall proceed along bridleway No 1 Great & Little Broughton commencing at NZ 5560 0389 to NZ 5544 0356.
An alternative route is to head west and then south on the forest road (permissive bridleway 1500m) from NZ 5560 0389 to join the unsurfaced road at NZ 5456 0341 follow this south (900m) and then join public bridleway 400104 for heading north east to NZ 5544 0356(1500m).
The closure will be put into effect by means of the erection of notices and signs at the point of closure and at the end of the paths. The Order is necessary to ensure public safety due to a land slip that has removed part of the bridleway. By approval of the Secretary of State for Transport on the 20 July 2021 to an extension (ref: NATTRAN/Y&H/TTRO/5501), the Order shall continue in force until 7 February 2022 or until completion of the works, whichever is the earlier.
