ROAD TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS (AMENDMENT N0.7) ORDER 2021

Notice is hereby given that Darlington Borough Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 1,2,4 and 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of the Traffic Management Act 2004.

The effect of the Order will be to:
1. remove the no waiting any time restrictions from Morton Road

2. prohibit all vehicles from the part of Westbrook Terrace which is carried over the Cocker Beck by Westbrook Terrace Bridge

3. introduce a 20mph speed limit to the following roads - Adelaide Street, Albert Street, Alder Grove, Avro Close, Blackthorn Drive, Buttercup Close, Clover Court, Creebeck Drive, Feethams South, Folland Court, Goosepool Way, Greener Drive, Guelder Court, Handley Mews, Harker Grove, Kentbeck Drive, Kieran Maxwell ?rive, Miles Grove, Orchid Drive, Page Drive, Prince's Street, Romanby Drive, South Terrace, St John's Place, Vickers Close, Victoria Street, Whitworth Drive, Yarrow Close and Yew Tree Close; and the following part of Edinburgh Drive -from a point 30m south of its junction with Teesdale Avenue to a point 7m north of the northern boundary 34 Edinburgh Drive

4. remove the 30mph speed limit from the following roads:
Church View, Bishopton - from a point 10m east of its junction with Cobby Castle Lane westwards for a distance of 12m
Glebe Road, Great Stainton - from its junction with Elstob Lane to its junction with Back Lane
Newton Lane - from a point 4m to a point 80m west of its junction with Jedburgh Drive

5. introduce a 30mph speed limit to the following roads:
Church View, Bishopton - from a point 2m west of its junction with Cobby Castle Lane eastwards for a distance of 53m
Elstob Lane - from its junction with C34A C38 Great Stainton to C37 Bishopton to its junction with Elstob Lane

6. remove the 40mph speed limit from the following road:
Yarm Road, Middleton St George - from its junction with St George Way to a point 7m east of the eastern boundary of 27 Killinghall Row

7. introduce a 40mph speed limit to the following roads:
Carmel Road South - from a point 43m south of the southern boundary 110 Carmel Road South to its junction with Bridge Road Newton Lane - from a point 39.5m to a point 134m north of its junction with Thomas Sopwith Way
Roundhill Road - from a point 73m to a point 231 m north of its junction with Creebeck Drive
Yarm Road, Middleton St George - from its junction with St George Way to its junction with Mill Lane

8. to remove the derestricted status from the following road:
Beech Crescent - from a point 73m south of its junction with Heighington
Bypass southwards for 65.5m

The Order will amend the Darlington Borough Council (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting and Loading) Consolidation Order 2019 and the Darlington Borough Council (Moving Traffic) Consolidation Order 2019.
