THE COUNTY COUNCIL OF DURHAM
(C76 FROSTERLEY) (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2021
The Council proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended, Section 14 (1) to prohibit all vehicular traffic from proceeding on 575m of C76 Frosterley from the junction with C75 Bridge End at northern side of closure in a southerly direction.to enable establishment of a safe working zone while Openreach pole testing works are undertaken. Alt route from northern side of closure northerly on Mellbutts Bank, then north westerly on A689 to Stanhope, then southerly on the B6278, and then easterly and northerly on the C76 to the southern side of closure and vice versa. The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months. The proposed works are to commence from 9.30am to 3.30pm on 20/8/21 and are anticipated to be completed in 1 day. On occasions, alternative dates for closure may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly. Access will be maintained for emergency services.
