ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14 (1)
Temporary Road Closure Poulett Gardens, Twickenham

1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate an electrical connection they have made a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a road closure in Poulett Gardens, Twickenham.

2. Whilst the works take place, no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed, wait or stand in Poulett Gardens from the southern kerb-line of Poulett Gardens to a point outside the common boundary of Nos 31 and 31A Poulett Gardens.

3. The order will come into effect on 3 August 2021. The works are anticipated to be in progress from 3 August 2021 until 9 August 2021. The order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.

4. An alternative route for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Cross Deep.

5. The prohibitions will apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.

6. Nothing in the Order will apply to:

(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle;

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer; or

(c) emergency service vehicles, subject to site conditions at the time of any emergency.

7. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

Temporary Road Closure Hospital Bridge Road, Whitton

1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate utility works they intend to make a temporary Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a temporary prohibition of traffic in Hospital Bridge Road, Whitton.

2. Whilst the works take place

(a) no person may permit a vehicle to proceed, wait or stand in Hospital Bridge Road between its junction with Stirling Road and a point 40 metres north of the northern kerb-line of Montrose Avenue.

(b) no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to enter or exit Montrose Avenue at its junction with Hospital Bridge Roads.

3. The order will come into effect on 9 August 2021. The restrictions will remain in force at all times from 9 August 2021 until 31 August 2021. The order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.

4. An alternative route or traffic affected by the closure of Hospital Bridge Road will be available via A316, Whitton Road, Kneller Road, Warren Road, Nelson Road and vice versa. Access to the Plant Nursery will be maintained. An alternative route for vehicles affected by the Montrose Avenue junction closure will be available via Montrose Avenue, Percy Road and Hospital Bridge Road and vice versa.

5. The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.

VARIOUS STREETS ON THE BOROUGH

1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames on the 28 July 2021 made the above Order under section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

2. The general effect of this Order is to facilitate the holding of a street party in various streets to allow residents to celebrate a special event within their community.

3. The street which will be closed is listed in the Schedule to this notice. Full details of the lengths of street which will be closed and times when the closure will be in force will be contained in the order referred to in the next paragraph.

4. Copies of the Order: -

(a) can be inspected until 31 December 2021, quoting Reference 21/122 at the Civic Centre (Central Reception, ground floor), 44 York Street, Twickenham between 9.15am and 5pm on Mondays to Fridays, except for Bank and other public holidays; and

(b) may be viewed on the Council's web-site at
