ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
1. The Council of the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames hereby gives notice that to facilitate construction works and because these works are being executed on or near the carriageway it made an Order the effect of which is summarised in paragraph 3 below.
2. The Order will come into effect on Sunday 1 August 2021 with works expected to take eighteen months to complete.
3. When the works are taking place and the appropriate traffic signs are displayed the Order will temporarily:-
- prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time at;
(i) south-east side of Hook Rise South from a point 76.7 metres south-west of its junction with Toby Way in a south-westerly direction for 31.2 metres; and
(ii) south-west side of Toby Way from a point 25.1 metres south-east of its junction with Toby Way in a south-easterly direction for 8.6 metres; and
(iii) south-west side of Toby Way from a point 50.5 metres south-east of its junction with Toby Way in a south-easterly direction for 20.0 metres.
- prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time between the hours of 08:00 to 17:30 on Mondays to Fridays and between the hours of 8:00 to 12:00 on Saturdays on the south-west side of Toby Way from a point 33.7 metres south-east of its junction with Toby Way in a south-easterly direction for 16.8 metres.
4. The prohibitions specified above apply only during such times and to such extent as indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
