THE ISLE OF WIGHT COUNCIL TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ORDERS

Notice is hereby given that the Isle of Wight Council not less than seven days from the appearance of this Notice propose to make the following Orders:

The Isle of Wight Council (Various Public Footpaths, Ryde & Brading, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Pedestrians) Order No 1 2021

The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from Friday 30 July 2021 to Friday 13 August 2021, or when works have been completed whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any pedestrian to proceed along the level crossings which run over the following Public Footpaths:

Pig Leg Lane level crossing (Public Footpath R52a) - located between Rosemary Lane / Public Bridleway R52 and Public Right of Way R55 which links to Great Preston Road, Ryde

Vicarage Lane level crossing (Public Footpath B4) - located between Vicarage Lane / Public Footpath B4a, Brading and Brading Marshes

Jones level crossing (Public Footpath B36) - located between Lower Furlongs, Brading and Brading Marshes.

These level crossings have already been closed by SW Railways under emergency closure procedures due to concerns for public safety. During the closure there is no convenient alternative routes and the local road and rights of way networks will need to be used.

Notice is hereby given that the Isle of Wight Council has made the following Orders-.

The Isle of Wight Council (Various Public Footpaths, Blackgang, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Pedestrians) Order No 1 2021

The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for a few hours on Wednesday & Saturday evenings (times to be varied accordingly based on appropriate light levels) from Wednesday 28 July to Saturday 28 August and on Saturday 30th October 2021 no person shall cause any pedestrian to proceed along Public Footpaths: C11 (part) from the cliff top view point to Blackgang Road (across the field) and C11a from the cliff top view point to its junction with Public Footpath NT35. The closure is necessary due to the likelihood of danger to the public from a firework firing site. During the closure times Blackgang Chine staff will be available to safely guide walkers through the site, until the actual firing is due to take place.
