LONDON BOROUGH OF MERTON
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
(BECKWAY ROAD. SW16) (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2021
1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate sewer cleaning in Beckway Road, SW16, they have made an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in the said road.
2. During the works, no person will cause or permit any vehicle to:-
(a) enter or proceed in Beckway Road, from its junction with Stanford Way south-eastward for a distance of 150 metres; or
(b) wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading any vehicle, in the length of Beckway Road specified in sub-paragraph (a) above.
3. Any designated parking place situated in the length of Beckway Road specified in paragraph 2 above will be suspended for the duration of the works in that length of road.
4. The restrictions will only apply during such times and to such extent as will from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
5. Nothing in the Order will apply to: -
(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or
(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform, a police community support officer in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer; or
(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes; or
(d) any person requiring vehicular access to properties adjacent to the prohibited road or length of road insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works.
6. Vehicular traffic affected by the road closure should proceed via Northborough Road Rowan Road and Stanford Way or vice^versa.
7. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
8. The Order will come into force on Friday 30th July 2021 and it is expected that the works will be completed on Saturday 31st July 2021. However, the Order will remain in force for a period of 3 months should further works be required.

(MILNER ROAD. SOUTH WIMBLEDON) (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2021
1. The Council of the London Borough of Merton hereby give notice that to facilitate development works in Milner Road, South Wimbledon, they intend to make an Order, the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in the said road.
2. During the works no person would:-
(a) cause or permit any vehicle to enter or proceed in Milner Road, from its junction with Morden Road to the common boundary of Nos. 2b and 2c Milner Road; or
(b) cause or permit any vehicle to wait, including for the purpose of loading or unloading any vehicle, on the north side of the length of Milner Road specified in sub-paragraph (a) above.
3. Any designated parking place situated in the length of Milner Road specified in paragraph 2(b) above would be suspended for the duration of the works in that length of road.
4. The point closure (gated section of road) outside No. 6 Milner Road would be open to vehicular traffic at any time the restrictions in paragraph 2(a) above are in effect.
5. The restrictions would only apply during such times and to such extent as would from time to time be indicated by traffic signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.
6. Nothing in the Order would apply to: -
(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works; or
(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform, a police community support officer in uniform; or
(c) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes; or
(d) any person requiring vehicular access to the properties in Milner Road, insofar as access is reasonably practicable without interference with the said works.
7. Vehicular traffic affected by the road closure should proceed using Brisbane Avenue or Bathurst Avenue and Queensland Avenue, Kingston Road and Morden Road.
8. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.
9. The Order would come into operation on Monday 9th August 2021 and would remain in force for 12 months. It is currently anticipated that Milner Road would be closed to vehicular traffic on four occasions lasting 1 day only, before 31 December 2021, to facilitate crane operations and that the waiting restrictions would apply for the duration of the Order.
