The Croydon (Prohibition and Restriction of Stopping, Loading and Waiting) and (Free Parking Places) (No. 6) Order 2021 The Croydon (On-Street Charged-For Parking Places) (No.6) Order 2021
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Croydon Council on 19 July 2021 made the above Traffic Orders under section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended and all other enabling powers.
1. The general effect of the Orders will be to:
(a) Revoke the disabled parking places in the vicinity of No. 51 Capri Road, Croydon, Nos. 42 and 120 Fairholme Road, Croydon, No. 45 Falkland Park Avenue, South Norwood, No. 4 Goldwell Road, Thornton Heath, No. 68 Headcorn Road, Thornton Heath, No. 1 Heather Way, South Croydon, No. 69 Hunter Road, Thornton Heath, No. 35 Kings Walk, South Croydon, No. 7 Kingswood Avenue, Thornton Heath, No. 68 Kynaston Avenue, Thornton Heath, No. 26 Kynaston Crescent, Thornton Heath, No. 32 Lincoln Road, South Norwood and No. 46 Quadrant Road, Thornton Heath.
(b) Designate new parking places at which vehicles displaying a disabled persons' badge may be left without charge or time limit in the following locations.
Biggin Hill, Upper Norwood
Outside No. 54 and partially across the frontage of No. 54a
Bishops Park Road, Norbury
Outside No. 35 and partially across the frontage of No. 37 (replaces one space within a permit/pay & display bay)
Blakemore Road, Thornton Heath
Adjacent to the flank wall of No. 2 Mayfield Road

Adjacent to the flank wall of No. 671 London Road (replaces one space within a permit/pay & display bay)

(c) Amend the map-based tiles to the Schedule attached to the above Orders so as to accurately represent the new parking arrangements as they exist on site.
2. Copies of the Orders, which will come into operation on 26 July 2021, and of all associated Orders can be inspected from 9am to 4pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the end of six weeks from the date on which the Orders were made, by appointment at the "Access Croydon" Facility, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon, CR0 1EA.
3. Copies of the Orders may be obtained from the Parking Design Team, 6th Floor, Zone C, Bernard Weatherill House, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon CR0 1EA.
4. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the ground that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made there under have not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks of the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT. 1984. SECTION 14 AS AMENDED THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991 AND ALL OTHER ENABLING POWERS BRIGHTON ROAD. PURLEY
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC
1. Croydon Council, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate building development works, they have made an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicular traffic movements in Brighton Road, Purley.
2. Whilst the said works are taking place the right hand filter lane of Brighton Road, located to the north-east of the triangular island site situated immediately opposite Nos. 618 to 626 Brighton Road, Purley, will be closed between its junction with Brighton Road and the southeastern boundary wall of Capella Court, Brighton Road.
3. Whilst the Order remains in force the alternative route for traffic displaced by the closure will be via the A235 Brighton Road, the A22 Purley Road and the A23 Brighton Road, as appropriately signed.
4. The Order will come into operation on 24 July 2021 and it is anticipated that the works will be completed on 07 August 2021. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.
5. The restriction shall not apply in respect of:
(a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said works;
(b) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes;
(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT. 1984. SECTION 14 AS AMENDED BY SECTION 4 (7) OF SCHEDULE 5 TO THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT 1985 AND THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991
COVENTRY ROAD/ALBERT ROAD SOUTH NORWOOD TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICULAR & PEDESTRIAN TRAFFIC
1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate works on behalf of UKPN, they have made an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily restrict traffic in Coventry Road and Albert Road, South Norwood.
2. Whilst the said works are taking place:
(a) Vehicles proceeding in Albert Road will be banned from turning right into Coventry Road and the eastbound right turn filter lane from Albert Road into Coventry Road will be closed;
(b) The north-western footway of Coventry Road will be closed between the junction with Albert Road and a point opposite the south-western boundary of No. 40 Coventry Road.
3. Whilst the restrictions are in force the diversion route for vehicular traffic will be via Albert Road, Eldon Park, Lonsdale Road, Harrington Road, Albert Road and Coventry Road, as appropriately signed. Pedestrians will be diverted into a walkway in the carriageway.
4. The restrictions shall not apply in respect of:
(a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said works;
(b) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes;
(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.
5. The Order will come into operation on 26 July 2021 and it is anticipated that the works will be carried out within approximately five days. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT. 1984. SECTION 14 AS AMENDED AND THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991 CROHAM ROAD. SOUTH CROYDON
TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF PEDESTRIAN TRAFFIC & PARKING
1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate cable removal works on behalf of the National Grid, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict pedestrian traffic and parking in Croham Road.
2. Whilst the said works are taking place:-
(a) the south-western footway of the south-westernmost arm of Croham Road will be closed between its junctions with Manor Way and Melville Avenue;
(b) parking will be suspended and waiting and loading restrictions operating "at any time" will apply to the south-western side of the above section of Croham Road;
(c) a temporary speed limit of 20 miles per hour will be applied to the section of Croham Road specified in paragraph 2(a) above.
3. Whilst the footway closure is place pedestrians will be directed to the opposite footway.
4. The Order will come into operation on 26 July 2021 and it is anticipated that the works will be completed on 27 August 2021. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.
5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:
(a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said works;
(b) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes;
(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

ECCLESBOURNE ROAD. THORNTON HEATH
NOTICE OF TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF PARKING
1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate large vehicle access for planned maintenance works at Bensham Manor School, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict parking in Ecclesbourne Road.
2. Whilst the said works are taking place parking in Ecclesbourne Road will be suspended and waiting restrictions will apply "at any time" on both sides of the road between the common boundaries of Nos. 93 and 95 and Nos. 105 and 107 Ecclesbourne Road.
3. The Order will come into operation on 26 July 2021 and it is anticipated that the works will be completed on 03 September 2021. However, the
Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.
4. The restriction shall not apply in respect of:
(a) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes;
(b) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC
1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate works on behalf of UKPN, they have made an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily restrict traffic in Woburn Avenue, Purley.
2. Whilst the said works are taking place Woburn Avenue will be closed between a point 14.5 metres south-east of its junction with High Street, Purley and a point 2.5 metres north-east of the common boundary of Nos. 1 and 2 Purley Parade.
3. The restrictions shall not apply in respect of:
(a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said works;
(b) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes;
(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.
4. The Order will come into operation on 26 July 2021 and it is anticipated that the works will be carried out within approximately five days. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.

COOMBE LANE. CROYDON
TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC
1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate Openreach works to the overhead network they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic in Coombe Lane.
2. Whilst the said works are taking place, parking in Coombe Lane will be closed at its junction with Oaks Road.
3. During the closure, the alternative route for traffic will be via Oaks Road and Shirley Hills Road, as appropriately signed.
4. The Order will come into operation on 11 August 2021 and it is anticipated that the works will be completed on 13 August 2021. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.
5. The restriction will not apply in respect of:
(a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said works;
(b) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes;
(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC
1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate electrical connection works on behalf of UKPN they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily prohibit vehicular traffic movements in Melrose Avenue.
2. Whilst the said works are taking place Melrose Avenue will be closed outside No.13 Melrose Avenue.
3. During the works the alternative routes for traffic will be as specified below and appropriately signed.
(a) Via Melrose Avenue, London Road, Ederline Avenue, Dunbar Avenue and reversed; or
(b) Via London Road and Kilmartin Avenue; or
(c) Via Melrose Avenue, Dunbar Avenue, Ederline Avenue and London Road.
4. The restriction shall not apply in respect of:
(a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said works;
(b) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes;
(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.
5. The Order will come into operation on 09 August 2021 and it is anticipated that the works will be carried out within five days. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.
