TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC ORDER 2021 (OLD ROAD, CRAYFORD) NOTICE OF MAKING AN ORDER
1. The London Borough of Bexley, being the Traffic Authority for the above mentioned road, in exercise of powers conferred by section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that an order has been made, to enable connections and mains lay for new gas pressure governor in Old Road, Crayford byJDT Utilities Ltd on behalf of SGN , they intend to make an Order the effects of which will be die introduction of:
a) Prohibition of traffic on Old Road from the junction with Martens Avenue to the junction with Lea Vale, Crayford
b) Waiting restriction on Old Road from the junction with Martens Avenue to the junction with Lea Vale, Crayford
c) Loading prohibition on Old Road from the junction with Martens Avenue to the junction with Lea Vale, Crayford
2. The Order will come into effect on 26th July 2021 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within one month.
3. Whilst the works are in progress, an alternative route will be provided via Westbound Diversion: Martens Avenue, Park Grove, Watling Street, London Road, Crayford High Street, Old Road.
Eastbound Diversion: Old Road, Crayford High Street, Crayford Road, Roman Way, London Road.
4. Nothing in this Notice will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or traffic warden, to emergency service vehicles, or to vehicles being used in connection with the works.
5. The restrictions described above will apply only during such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by traffic signs as prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016.

d) Suspension of Yellow (parking suspension) - on Steynton Avenue, Bexley from the junction with Valentine Avenue to Deniston Avenue, Bexley
2. The Order will come into effect on 25th July 2021 and is valid for a period of 18 months. However, the works are expected to be completed within 2 days.
3. Whilst the works are in progress, an alternative route will be provided via: Southbound Diversion: Carisbrooke Avenue, Hurst Road, Valentine Avenue, and reverse Northbound Diversion: Deniston Avenue, Carisbrooke Avenue, Hurst Road, Valentine Avenue.
4. Nothing in this Notice will apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or traffic warden, to emergency service vehicles, or to vehicles being used in connection with the works.

b) Loading prohibition

REPORT OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT AND SOCIAL CARE OMBUDSMAN
The Local Government and Social Care Ombudsman has issued a report following its investigation of complaints
against London Borough of Bexley. The complaints were about Adult Social Care Services.
The Ombudsman found that there had been fault on the part of the Council, and this had caused injustice to the
complainants.
London Borough of Bexley has agreed to take action which the Ombudsman regards as providing a satisfacto7 remedy for the complaint.
The Council must now consider the report and tell the Ombudsman within three months (or such longer period as the Ombudsman may agree) what it proposes to do.
Copies of the report will be available for public inspection during normal office hours at the Central Library, 2 Townley Road, Bexleyheath, DA6 7HL for three weeks starting on 22 July 2021. Anyone is entitled to take copies of the report or extracts from it Copies will be supplied free of charge.
