THE A66 TRUNK ROAD (LAYBYS AT SEDBURY HALL AND THORPE FARM) [TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Highways England Company Limited has made an Order on the A66 Trunk Road, in the Counties of North Yorkshire and Durham, to enable kerb renewal works to be carried out in safety. The works are expected to start at 8am on Saturday 17 July 2021 for 9 days, or until completed.
that Highways England Company Limited has made an Order on the A66 Trunk Road, in the Counties of North Yorkshire and Durham, to enable kerb renewal works to be carried out in safety. The works are expected to start at 8am on Saturday 17 July 2021 for 9 days, or until completed.
The effect of the Order will be to close, for 24 hours a day, at times during the works, the layby adjacent to the A66: (i) eastbound carriageway approximately
1950 metres west of Scotch Corner
Interchange; and (if) westbound carriageway approximately
1900 metres west of Smallways Junction. Traffic management will be in force 24 hours a day and traffic signs will indicate the extent of the prohibitions (which will not apply to emergency service vehicles or vehicles being used in connection with the said works or for winter maintenance or traffic officer purposes). The Order comes into force on 16 July 2021 and has a maximum duration of eighteen months.
