(PUBLIC FOOTPATH 9 BARROW) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS ORDER 2021
Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 (2) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, that the Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council have made an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit pedestrians on that length of FP 9 Barrow from Long Green (UV1621) at OSGR SJ 4766 7039 in a southerly direction to a railway crossing, and continues in a southerly then south -easterly direction for a total distance of approximately 633 metres to Barnhouse Lane (C222) at OSGR SJ 4775 6989.
The closure is necessary because of danger to the public of out of repair steps that makes the footpath unsafe and there are works being or are proposed to be executed on this footpath. The closure continues the restriction that came into force on 24 June 2021 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding 6 months or until the works required to improve the surface are completed, whichever is the earlier.
