ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 CHESHIRE WEST AND CHESTER
(FP 17 BARNTON) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS ORDER 2021 Notice is hereby given that the Secretary of State for Transport in pursuance of the power conferred upon him by sub-section (5) of the aforementioned Section 15 has approved the Order being extended and continuing in force until 21 January 2023. The closure is necessary because of floodwater damage to an embankment and bridge carrying the footpath that makes the footpath unsafe and works are proposed to be executed on or near this footpath. The Order came into force on 22 January 2021 and would have ended on the 22 July 2021.
The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit pedestrians on that length of FP 17 Barnton which commences on Soot Hill at OSGR SJ 6413 7500 and runs in a generally north westerly direction for approximately 210 metres to Nursery Road (UW3300) at OSGRSJ 6418 7507. There is an unrestricted alternative route shown on the plan.
