London Ambulance Service notice of permanently vacating Bounds Green Ambulance Station (Bounds Green Road, London, N22 8DE)
We have recently announced that we will be vacating Bounds Green Ambulance Station by August 2021. The property, which is owned partly by London Fire Brigade and partly by Haringey Borough Council, was under a lease which is now due to end on 1 August 2021. We would like to reassure local residents and patients that this relocation will not have an impact on the provision of health services or patient care in Bounds Green, Haringey or the surrounding area.
Our crews based at this site, who have been working temporarily from nearby stations since April 2020 to ensure our resilience against COVID-19 demand, will all permanently relocate to Edmonton and Tottenham stations. We are a busy and mobile service with an overwhelming majority of our ambulances being dispatched directly from hospitals, strategic standby points and previous patient call-outs, rather than being dispatched directly from ambulance stations. In 2019, only 4.1% of incidents in Haringey received a response directly from Bounds Green Ambulance Station Therefore the proposed relocation will have no impact on the provision of services to patients in Haringey and we will continue to provide high quality ambulance services and patient care in the area.
