WARRINGTON BOROUGH COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 Notice is hereby given that, in not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice, the Council intends to make Orders under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Church Ln, Grappenhall (Prohibition of Driving & Clearway) Temporary Order 2021
The effect of which will be to introduce a temporary prohibition of driving & clearway order on Church Lane from its jet. with Broad Ln to its jet. with Glebe Ave. The Order will be effective from 26th July 2021 for 6 weeks, when signed on site. The alternative route will be via Church Ln, A56 Chester Rd, A50 Knutsford Rd, Bellhouse Ln & vice versa or via Broad Ln, Grappenhall Ln, A50 Cliff Ln, A50 Knutsford Rd, Bellhouse Ln & vice versa. The restrictions are required for continuing works to the Heritage Area reconstructing & relaying cobbled road surface, including work to improve drainage. Ref: High/2232 Longford St & Adj St's (Prohibition of Driving & Clearway) Temporary Order 2021 The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving & clearway as follows: Longford St from Orford Ln to Winwick Rd; From Longford St for 50m along the following lengths of road: Watkin St; Hale St; Cross St; Earl St; Cowdell St; Dorothea St. The Order will be effective from 2nd August 2021 for 6 weeks between 9:30am to 3:30pm & 7pm to 1am, when signed on site. The alternative route will be via Winwick Rd, Orford Ln & vice versa. The restrictions are required for carriageway resurfacing. Ref: High/2238 Various Rd's in Penketh & Cuerdley (Prohibition of Driving & Clearway) Temporary Order 2021 The effect of which will be to introduce a prohibition of driving & clearway as follows: Entire lengths of road: Poplar Ave; Well Ln; The Park; St Austel CI; Shaftesbury Ave; Arlington Dr from No's. 38/61 to end of road at No's. 49/50; Tragan Dr from No. 12 to No. 17; St Brides CI from No. 12 to Gable of No. 61 Chapel Rd; Woodley Fold from No. 1 to No. 6; Southlands Ave from No. 3 to No. 10; Station Rd from the jet. at Chapel Ln to the end adj to A562 Widnes Rd. The Order will be effective from 9th August 2021 for 8 weeks between 8:30am & 5:30pm, when signed on site. The alternative routes are Poplar Ave via Well Ln, Chapel Rd, Warrington Rd & vice versa; Well Ln via Chapel Rd, Warrington Rd, Poplar Ave & vice versa; Shaftesbury Ave via Station Rd, Walkers Ln & vice versa. A49 Tarporley Rd. Appleton (Prohibition of Driving & Clearway) Temporary Order 2021
The effect of which is to introduce a prohibition of driving & clearway on the A49 Tarporley Rd from the M56/Norttiwich Rd roundabout to the Borough Boundary. The Order will be effective from 19th July 2021 for 7 weeks between 7:00pm & 1:00am, when signed on site. The alternative route will be via A49 London Rd, A56 Walton Rd, A56 Walton New Rd, A56 Chester Rd, A533 Northwich Rd & vice versa. The closure is required for carriageway surfacing. Ref: High/2221

Bewsey St, Foundry St & Midland Way (Prohibition of Driving & Footway Closure)
Temporary Order 2021 The effect of which is as follows: Prohibition of Driving: Bewsey St from its jet. with Edgeworth St in a south east direction to the carriageway end; Footway Closure: Bewsey St from its jet. with Edgeworth St to its jet. with Midland Way; Foundry St from its jet. with Dallam Ln to its jet. with Midland Way; Midland Way (north footway) from its jet. with Legh St to its jet. with Bewsey St. The Order will be effective from 10tti July 2021 when signed on site. The works are to be carried out in phases as follows: Phase 1 Footway Closures - From 10pm Saturday 10th July 21 to 6am Sunday 11th July 21; Phase 2 Footway Closures - From 10pm Saturday 17th July 21 to 6am Sunday 18th July 21; Phase 3 Footway Closures - From 10pm Saturday 24th July 21 to 6am Sunday 25th July 21; Phase 4 Footway Closures - From 13th August 21 to 13th September 21; Phase 5 Prohibition of Driving - From 6pm Friday 27th August 21 to 6am Tuesday 31 st August 21. The alternative routes will be as follows: Bewsey St - Footway Closure via Edgeworth St, Midland Way & vice versa; Foundry St - Footway Closure via Dallam Ln, Tanners Ln, Bewsey St, Edgeworth St & vice versa; Midland Way (north footway) - Footway Closure via Midland Way South footway & vice versa. The restrictions are required to allow Network Rail to carry out bridge renewal works. Ref: High/2234

A50 Knutsford Rd & Station Rd (Prohibition of Driving & Footway Closure)
Temporary Order 2021 Notice is hereby given that the Council made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 on 11th March 2021. The effect of which was as follows: Prohibition of Driving & Footway Closure: A50 Knutsford Rd from its jet. with Thelwall New Rd to its jet. with Kingsway Sth; Prohibition of Driving: Station Rd from its jet. with Grammar School Rd to its jet. with Knutsford Rd. The Order was to be effective from 29th March 2021 & a revised date of 14th June 2021 subsequently advertised, with the works being undertaken in the following phases: Phase 1 - Footway Closure: 14th June 2021 for 10 days between 9:30am & 3:30pm, Monday to Friday; Phase 2 - Road Closures: 17th June 2021 between 5pm & Midnight, however Phase 1 is now required to be in place on 12th July 2021 between 7pm & Midnight & also 13th July 2021 between 9:30am & 3:30pm & Phase 2 is required to be in place on 12th July 2021 between 7pm & Midnight. The alternative routes & reason for the works remains the same as previously advertised. Ref: High/2188

The Borough of Warrington (Dam Ln, Hollins Green) (30mph Speed Limit) Order 2021
Notice is hereby given that the Council made an Order under Sections 1,2,4,81,82 & 83 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 & of all other enabling powers on 7th July 2021. The effect of the Order is to extend the existing 30 mph speed limit further along the derestricted section of road on Dam Ln, Hollins Green, the new limit will be from a point 480m north of its jet. with School Ln for approx. 1450m northbound to its jet. with School Ln, therefore now becomes a restricted road. Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it Is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks from 7th July 2021, apply to the High Court for this purpose.
