Temporary Closure of Stewards Lane, Shapwick
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [2] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along Stewards Lane, Shapwick from the junction with High Street to a point approximately 400 metres to the east (in both directions). The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 9 August 2021 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 17 September 2021 This Order will enable Wessex Water safe access to replace a water main A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections.

Temporary Closure of Public Bridleway, South Perrott
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic [Temporary Restrictions] Act 1991. All pedestrians, horse riders and cyclists will be prohibited from proceeding along Public Bridleway W42/4, from grid reference ST 476 064 to grid reference ST 478 064, a distance of approximately 165 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with Health and Safety Regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to Highway Users. It will come into operation on the 5 July 2021 for a period of 6 months. This order can be extended, with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport, if necessary. The Order is required to allow for the Environment Agency Reservoirs Project works to take place. There will be a locally signed diversion.
