A303 TRUNK ROAD (OVERTON ROAD) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS
Notice is hereby given that Highways England Company Limited has made an Order on the A303 Trunk Road in the County of Hampshire, under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 because works are proposed to be executed on an adjoining road. The effect of the Order is to authorise the daytime closure of the roads leading to and from both carriageways of the A303 at Overton Road Interchange.
These measures are in the interests of road safety while contractors working on behalf of Hampshire County Council undertake drainage works on Overton Road.
It is expected that the work will last for approximately 3 weeks starting on or after Saturday 26th June 2021. The closures will take place between 07:00 and 18:00 (maximum period).
The Order will come into force on 24th June 2021 and have a maximum duration of eighteen months, ceasing when the works are complete. Traffic affected by the closure will be diverted via other junctions of the A303.
The temporary closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs when they are in operation during the works period.
