THE GLA ROADS AND GLA SIDE ROADS (CROYDON) RED ROUTE (CLEARWAY) CONSOLIDATION TRAFFIC ORDER 2007 THE A22 GLA ROAD (GODSTONE ROAD) VARIATION ORDER 2021
1. Transport for London hereby gives notice that on 7th June 2021 it made the above named Orders, under section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The Orders will come into force on 12th June 2021.
2. The general nature and effect of the Orders will be to:
(1) introduce double red lines (No Stopping at Any Time) controls at the north-eastern kerb-line of Godstone Road between No. 8 Godstone Road, Purley and No. 77 Godstone Road, Kenley, and between No. 406 Godstone Road, Kenley and the administrative boundary of the London Borough of Croydon and Surrey County Council;
(2) introduce double red lines (no stopping at any time) controls at the south-western kerb-line of Godstone Road:
(a) between No. 26 Godstone Road, Purley and Nos. 25 to 30 Gables Court, No. 48 Godstone Road, Purley;
(b) for 10 metres either side of its junction with Dale Road;
(c) from a point 32 north-west of its junction with Sunnydene Road and a point 11 metres south-east of that junction;
(d) from outside No. 168 Godstone Road, Purley to outside No.8 Godstone Road, Kenley;
(e) from a point 3 metres north-west of the southern building line of Nos. 28 to 30 Godstone Road, Kenley for 10 metres south-eastwards;
(f) approximately 10 metres either side of its junction with Little Roke Road,
(g) from outside Nos. 80 to 90 Godstone Road, Kenley to outside No. 94 Godstone Road, Kenley;
(h) from a point 42 metres north-west of its junction with Waterbourne Way to a point 10 metres south-east of that junction;
(i) from a point opposite the north western building line of No. 29 Godstone Road, Kenley for 50 metres south-eastwards; (j) for 10 metres each side of its junction with Bourne View;
(k) from the south-western property boundary of Nos.15 and 16 Gomshall Gardens to opposite 77 Godstone Road, Kenley, (I) between No. 408 Godstone Road, Kenley to a point opposite Riddlesdown Road;
(m) between a point 13 metres north of Old Barn Lane and the administrative boundary of the London Borough of Croydon and Surrey County Council;
(3) relocate the double red lines at the south-western kerb-line of Godstone Road associated with the bus stop outside Kenley Pumping Station 17 metres north-westwards;
(4) introduce Red Route Clearway (No Stopping at Any Time) controls on both sides of any length of Godstone Road where marked stopping places are not present on Godstone Road between No. 79 Godstone Road, Kenley and No. 406 Godstone Road, Kenley;
(5) introduce single red lines (No Stopping Monday to Saturday 7am to 7pm) on both sides of any length of Godstone Road except where marked stopping places or double red lines have been placed between No. 19a Godstone Road, Purley and No. 77 Godstone Road, Kenley and between No. 406 Godstone Road, Kenley and the administrative boundary of the London Borough of Croydon and Surrey County Council;
(6) Introduce a No Stopping Monday to Saturday 7am to 7pm except parking 2 hours maximum No return within 4 hours parking and disabled persons' vehicles bay outside Kenley Memorial Hall, No. 97 Godstone Road, Kenley, and outside Nos. 96 to 110 Godstone Road, Kenley (Warwick Court);
(7) Introduce a parking at any time in marked bays on the footway only, parking and disabled persons' vehicles Clearway restriction at the north-eastern side of Godstone Road, Kenley between Nos. 78 and 251 Godstone Road, Kenley;
(8) redefine the description of the No Stopping Monday to Saturday 7am to 7pm except 10am to 4pm Parking 30 minutes No Return within 1 hour parking and disabled persons' vehicles bay outside Nos. 20 to 24 Godstone Road, Purley;
(9) redefine the description of the No Stopping Monday to Saturday 7am to 7pm except Parking 1 hour No Return within 2 hours, parking and disabled persons' vehicles bay outside Nos. 8 to 30 Godstone Road, Kenley, outside Nos. 66 to 72 Godstone Road, Kenley and outside Nos. 76 to 80 Godstone Road Kenley, extending it by 2.5 metres at its south-eastern end;
(10) redefine the description of the Parking at Any Time, parking and disabled persons' vehicles bay outside No. 40 Godstone Road, Kenley and at the rear of Nos. 69 to 75 Lower Road;
(11) redefine the Parking at Any Time bay opposite Nos. 79 to 99 Godstone Road, Kenley, opposite Nos. 113 to 13 5 Godstone Road, Kenley, opposite Nos. 145 to 161 Godstone Road, Kenley and outside Nos.358 to 360 Godstone Road, Kenley, as Clearway At Any Time parking bays;
(12) redefine the At Any Time disabled persons' vehicles only bay opposite Nos. 101 to 103 Godstone Road, Kenley as a Clearway At Any Time disabled persons' vehicles only bay;
(13) relocate the At Any Time disabled persons' vehicles only bay outside No. 324 Godstone Road, Kenley 7.5 metres north-westwards and redefine it as a Clearway At Any Time disabled persons' vehicles only bay;
(14)extend the At Any time parking bay opposite Nos. 175 to 181 Godstone Road, Kenley by 7.5 metres at its north-western end and redefine it as an At Any Time Clearway parking bay;
(15) redefine the At Any Time disabled persons' vehicles only bay opposite Nos. 209 to 213 Godstone Road, Kenley as a Clearway At Any Time disabled persons' vehicles only bay;
(16) combine the At Any Time parking bays opposite Nos. 187 to 203 and 205a to 209 Godstone Road, Kenley, increasing its length to 70 metres and outside Nos. 364 to 388 and Nos. 392 to 400 Godstone Road, Kenley, increasing its length to 130 metres and redefining them as Clearway At Any Time Parking bays;
(17) formalise the At Any Time disabled persons' vehicles only bay outside Nos. 211 and 213 Godstone Road, Kenley and define it as a Clearway At Any Time disabled persons' vehicles only bay;
(18)formalise the on footway Clearway At Any Time parking bay outside Nos.404 to 406 Godstone Road, Kenley;
(19) introduce a 27 metre At Any Time Parking bay outside Nos. 416 and 418 Godstone Road, Kenley (Rose House and Crown House).
The road which would be affected by the Orders is the A22 Godstone Road.

4. Any person wishing to question the validity of the Orders or of any of their provisions on the grounds that they are not within the relevant powers conferred by the Act or that any requirement of the Act has not been complied with, that person may, within six weeks from the date on which the Order is made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
