LICENSING ACT 2003 NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A PREMISES LICENCE
NOTICE is hereby given that: Wilderness Festivals Limited of 59-65 Worship Street, London EC2A 2DU, applied to West Oxfordshire District Council on Tuesday 13 May 2014 to use the 'Premises' namely an area of parkland (as delineated in purple on the plan served with the application), within the grounds of Cornbury Park Charlbury OX7 3EH, for the following licensable activities, at the annual, Wilderness Festival (the 'Festival'): Regulated Entertainment (all categories except boxing and wrestling): Thursday 10:00 to 23:00 Friday and Saturday: 10:00 to 04:00 Sunday: 10:00 to 02:00 Late night refreshment: 23:00 to 05:00 daily Sale of Alcohol: 00:00 to 00:00 (24 hours daily)
The licensable activities shall only be permitted during one period of 5 days (from Thursday to the following Monday) per annum (precise dates to be notified to the Responsible Authorities at least 3 months in advance of the proposed commencement of the Festival). Further, the Premises Licence, (if granted), shall only apply for a period of 5 years i.e. from 2014 to 2018 inclusive.
Bespoke licensing conditions are proposed to support the licensing objectives and a Precis of the application ("Precis 2") which explains the rationale behind it and its correlation to the minor variation application relating to the Cornbury Park Licence (PREM 467) has been prepared - these documents are both available for consideration, at the Licensing Authority.
Please note that the grant of this proposed stand-alone Premises Licence for Wilderness Festival is subject to and conditional upon the Cornbury Park Licence (PREM 467) being reduced to, in effect, remove the Festival from the scope of that Licence - further explanation is in the Precis referred to above. Any person wishing to object to this application must give notice in writing stating the nature of objection by Tuesday 10 June 2014. Any representations made must relate to one of the 4 Licensing Objectives, prevention of crime and disorder, public safety, prevention of public nuisance and protection of children from harm. All representations are made public.
