Notice under Part 2 of the Schedule to a Direction published by The Office of Communications on 14 March 2006
Proposal by the Universal Service Provider
(British Telecommunications plc) to remove 15 Public Call Boxes at various locations on the Isle of Wight.
British Telecommunications plc has notified the Isle of Wight Council that it proposes to remove 15 Public Call Boxes at specified locations on the Isle of Wight. The complete list of boxes to be removed can be found on the Council's website

Under the Direction published by The Office of Communications on 14 March 2006, the Relevant Public Body, in this case the Isle of Wight Council is required to undertake a public consultation exercise to canvas local views on the proposed removals and to bring the contents of the payphone and written notice to the attention of such persons as it considers appropriate, asking for comments on the proposal to be made within a stipulated period.
