Temporary Closure of Public Footpath E59/17 Woodlands
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic [Temporary Restrictions] Act 1991. All pedestrians, horses and cycles will be prohibited from proceeding along part of footpath ES9/17, from grid reference SU05789 07396 (point A on the map below) to grid reference SU05661 07411, a distance of approximately 140 metres. The order is needed to comply with Health and Safety Regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to Highway Users. It will come into operation on 7 June 2021 for a period of 26 weeks initially. But can be extended, with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport, whilst the construction site is active.
This Notice will enable building works within the grounds of Slough House.

Temporary Closure of Higher Charminster, Charminster
DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along HIGHER CHARMINSTER, CHARMINSTER, at the ford (in both directions), a distance of approximately 10 metres. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 21 June 2021 and will remain in force for 18 months and can be extended with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport if necessary; however, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 9 July 2021. This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out the replacement of the footbridge alongside the ford.
On this occasion there will be no alternative route.
