ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14 (1)
Temporary Road Closure Gordon Avenue, Twickenham

1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate reinstatement works they have made a Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a temporary prohibition of traffic in Gordon Avenue, Twickenham.
2. Whilst the works take place no person may permit a vehicle to enter Gordon Avenue at its junction with St Margarets Road.
3. The order will come into effect on 1 June 2021. The restrictions will remain in force at all times on 1 and 2 June 2021 only. The order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.
4. An alternative route for traffic will be available via St Margarets Road, Ailsa Avenue and Gordon Avenue.
5. The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.
6. Nothing in the Order applies to:
(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle.
(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer; or
(c) emergency service vehicles, subject to site conditions at the time of any emergency.
7. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate a gas connection they have made a Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a temporary prohibition of traffic in Linden Road, Hampton
2. Whilst the works take place no person may permit a vehicle to proceed, wait or stand in Linden Road, between a point outside No. 1 Linden Road and a point outside the common boundary of Nos 13 and 15 Linden Road.
3. The order will come into effect on 1 June 2021. The restrictions will remain in force at all times from 1 June 2021 until 4 June 2021. The order will remain in force for a period of 18 months, to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works.
4. An alternative route for traffic will be available via Linden Road, Priory Road and Percy Road.
5. The prohibitions apply only during such time and to such extent as indicated by prescribed traffic signs.
6. Nothing in the Order applies to:
(a) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works or any public service or utility vehicle.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION 'ACT 1984 THE LONDON BOROUGH OF RICHMOND UPON THAMES (ELECTRIC SCOOTER AND CYCLE) (PARKING PLACES) (No. 2) EXPERIMENTAL ORDER 2021 VARIOUS STREETS IN THE BOROUGH (Reference 21/080)
1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames on 26 May 2021 made the above Orders under sections 9 and 10 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
2. The general effect of the Parking Places Order is to introduce scooter and cycle hire parking places for the leaving of electric scooters being used in a trial or the leaving of pedal cycles (including electric-assisted pedal cycles) being used in public hire schemes operated in accordance with agreements with the Council. The parking areas will be sited in the areas detailed in the Schedule to this Notice.
3. Full details of the Order, which will come into operation on 7 June 2021, are contained in the following documents: -
(a) the Order.
(b) plans indicating the location and effect of the restrictions; and
(c) the Council's Statement of Reasons for making the Orders.
4. Copies of the above documents: -
(a) can be inspected, quoting Reference 21 /080, at the Civic Centre (Central Reception, ground floor), 44 York Street, Twickenham between 9.15am and 5pm on Mondays to Fridays, except for Bank and other public holidays; and
(b) may be viewed on the Council's web-site at
until the date on which the Order ceases to have effect
5. This Order provides that in pursuance of section 10(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the Assistant Director of Environment of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, or other person authorised in that behalf by that officer may, if it appears to that officer or to that person essential in the interests of the expeditious, convenient and safe movement of traffic, or of the provision of suitable and adequate parking facilities on the highway, or for preserving or improving the amenities of the area through which the roads affected by the Order run, modify or suspend the Order or any provision thereof.
6. If the provisions of the Order continues in operation for a period of not less than six months, the Council will consider in due course whether the its provisions should be reproduced and continued in force indefinitely by means of an Order under section 6 of the said Act of 1984. Persons wishing to object to or support the making of such an Order for the purpose of such reproduction and continuation in force may, within the period of six months referred to above send a statement in writing of their objection and the grounds of that objection to the address below.

8. If any person wishes to question the validity of the Order or of any of their provisions on the grounds that they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any requirement of the said Act of 1984 or of any instrument made under the said Act of 1984 has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order was made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
