ROAD TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS (AMENDMENT N0.3) ORDER 2021
Notice is hereby given that Darlington Borough Council has made an Order under Sections 1,32,33 and 35 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of the Traffic Management Act 2004. The Order, which comes into effect on the 28th May 2021, changes Winston Street West Car Park from a Business Car Park to a Pay and Display Car Park. The charge for use of the car park will be £1 per hour or part thereof between the hours of 8am-6pm on all days. The first two hours of parking will be free of charge; however, a ticket must be obtained from the machine and displayed clearly inside the vehicle at the start of the period of parking and must cover the whole of the period of that vehicle's stay in the car park, including the first two free hours and any subsequent hours of paid parking. No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to be left in the car park if a period of less than 1 hour has elapsed since the termination during the charging hours of the last period of waiting (if any) of the vehicle in that car park. If you wish to question the validity of the Order or any provision of it on the grounds that it is not within the power of the relevant section of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or of any requirement of that Act or any enactment made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order you may within six weeks from the date of this notice apply to the High Court for this purpose.
