ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 CHESHIRE WEST AND CHESTER COUNCIL TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF PEDESTRIANS PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO. FP 1 ACTON BRIDGE AND PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO. 11 CROWTON
Notice is hereby given that the Secretary of State for Transport in pursuance of the power conferred upon him by sub-section (5) of the aforementioned Section 15 has approved the Order being extended and continuing in force until 4 June 2022
The effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit pedestrians on that length of Public Footpath No. 1 Acton Bridge which commences at National grid reference 358,485 / 375,806 and runs in a generally westerly direction for approximately 509 metres to National reference 358,025 / 375,721, and Public Footpath No. 11 Crowton which commences at National grid reference 358,025 / 375,721 and runs in a generally south westerly direction for approximately 441 metres to National grid reference 357,794 / 375,411.
The closure is necessary because works are proposed to be executed to make safe the footpath damaged by a waterlogged surface. The Order came into force on 4 December 2020 and would have ended on the 4 June 2021. This order does not prevent any pedestrians with access to premises situated on or adjacent to the public footpaths only accessible from the path or by any emergency vehicle. The alternate route is shown on the plan as a broken black line.
