Various Roads in Ewell Temporary Traffic Management Order 2021
On 19 May 2021 Surrey County Council Made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, the effect of which will be to:-(a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Kingston Road (B2200) Ewell as extends from its junction with (B2200) London Road to its junction with (B2200) Chessington Road and (C254) Kingston Road; (b) prohibit vehicles that are travelling south westwards on London Road (B2200) Ewell from turning right into (B2200) Kingston Road; (c) prohibit vehicles that are travelling north westwards on High Street (B2200) Ewell from turning left into (B2200) Kingston Road; and (d) prohibit vehicles that are travelling south eastwards along Chessington Road (B2200) Ewell from turning left into (C254) Kingston Road. This Temporary Traffic Order is required to allow carriageway excavation works to be carried out by, or on behalf of Centrecomms. These works are anticipated to be carried out within 6 days of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 31 May 2021 .Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary prohibitions, which are anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access for emergency vehicles, residents and businesses will be via the signed vehicular diversion routes which will be via (i) High Street; London Road; A240 Ewell By-Pass; and Kingston Road, or (ii) High Street; Spring Street; and Chessington Road.
Parklawn Avenue (D2137) Epsom Temporary Traffic Management Order 2021
On 19 May 2021 Surrey County Council Made the above mentioned Temporary Order under Sections 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to:-(a) prohibit Vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Parklawn Avenue (D2137) Epsom as extends from its junction with (D2137) Eastdene Avenue to a point in line with the southern boundary of property number 70, Parklawn Avenue; and (b) prohibit waiting, loading, and unloading at any time, by vehicles on both sides of the carriageway in that length of Parklawn Avenue (D2137) Epsom as extends from its junction with (D2137) Eastdene Avenue to a point in line with the southern boundary of property number 70, Parklawn Avenue. The alternative route will be via Eastdene Avenue, and Parklawn Avenue or this same route in reverse. This Temporary Order is required to facilitate kerbing replacement works by or on behalf of Surrey County Council. These works are anticipated to be completed within 3 months of the 12 month period of operation of this Order which commences on 01 June 2021. The temporary restrictions will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed and only to such extent as indicated by those traffic signs. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle's owner. Access for pedestrians will be maintained at all times. Vehicular access for residents will be maintained only when safe to do so, if necessary, via the diversion route. During certain phases of the works, vehicular access to premises may be restricted. When this is the case such restriction of access will apply tor no more than eight hours within any 24-hour period. All other traffic will be required to follow the signed diversion route. Exemptions apply tor vehicles when waiting because they are required by law to stop, are obliged to stop in order to prevent an accident or are prevented from proceeding because of circumstances outside the drivers control and in respect of anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or of a civil enforcement officer will apply when the temporary restrictions are in force. (N.B. Disabled persons displaying a disabled blue badge will not be exempt from the temporary waiting restriction).

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Section 14(1) Public Footpath No. 8 (Epsom and Ewell) Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2021
On 27 May 2021 Surrey County Council will make a temporary order to prohibit all traffic on foot or by any other means from entering or proceeding along Footpath No. 8 (Epsom and Ewell) where is crosses the railway line (Grid ref. 521575162953). The Order is necessary because of works to repair the bridge over the railway. It will be in operation from 31 May 2021 until 25 June 2021 or until completion of the works, if earlier, and while the relevant notices are displayed. The Secretary of State for Transport can extend that period if required.
The temporary closure will only be in operation when appropriate road traffic signs are displayed on site by the County Council or an authorised person acting on its behalf. Access to properties will not be affected.
The alternative route from the eastern end of the closure will be to proceed in a south easterly direction along Footpath 8 and then Old Schools Lane to its junction with Chessington Road. Turn right and proceed in a generally south westerly direction along Chessington Road to its junction with Station Avenue. Turn right and proceed in a generally north easterly direction along Station Avenue to its junction with Footpath 8. Turn right and proceed in a south easterly along Footpath to the western end of the closure. The alternative route from the western end of the closure will be the reverse of the one described above. The 'Surrey County Council Public Footpath No. 8 (Epsom and Ewell) Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2021' was made by the County Council under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
