EDGE COMMON / RUDGE HILL
NATURAL ENGLAND has applied to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for consent under section 38 of the Commons Act 2006 to carry out restricted works on EDGE COMMON / RUDGE HILL. The Planning Inspectorate will decide the application on behalf of the Secretary of State.
The proposed works are: ALL WORKS ARE EXISTING, NO NEW WORKS ARE PROPOSED, THE APPLICATION IS TO RENEW THE EXISTING PLANNING CONSENT. The works are 2250.2m of stock-proof fencing located on or close to the boundary of Edge Common/ Rudge Hill enclosing 17.95ha. Nine pedestrian gates and two bridle gates will allow access at all 11 access points to Edge Common / Rudge Hill, with two locked field gates for authorised vehicular access, there will be a cattle corral at the northern entrance which will be left open when not in use.
