TRAFFIC CALMING MEASURES (SPEED HUMPS) -LOCKFIELD AVENUE, ENFIELD

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Enfield ("the Council") propose under Sections 90A to 901 of the Highways Act 1980 to introduce speed humps which would have a height of no more than 100 millimetres at the locations specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

2. A copy of the map indicating the locations and effects of the proposed traffic calming measures and any other relevant documents can be inspected at the Town Library, 66 Church Street, Enfield EN2 6AX, Monday to Fridays 9am - 5pm inclusive. Note: Should you wish to discuss the proposals in more detail with a Council officer, please ring the above-mentioned telephone number to arrange a mutually convenient time.

3. Any person desiring to object or make any other representations in respect of the proposals should send a statement in writing to that effect, and in the case of an objection stating the grounds thereof, to the Head of Traffic and Transportation, the Civic Centre, Silver Street, Enfield, Middlesex, EN1 3XD, quoting the reference TG52/1476, by 9 June 2021, or by e-mail to

4. Under the Local Government (Access to Information) Act 1985, any letter you write to the Council in response to this Notice may, upon written request, be made available to the press or to the public, who would be entitled to take copies of it if they so wished.

(a) from a point 14.55 metres south-west of the common boundary of Nos. 74 and 76 Lockfield Avenue south-westward for a distance of 0.9 metres;
(b) from a point 11.05 metres north-east of the common boundary of Nos. 81 and 83 Lockfield Avenue north-eastward for a distance of 0.9 metres;
(c) from the north-eastern boundary of No. 90 Lockfield Avenue south-westward for a distance of 0.9 metres.
