LAND REFORM (SCOTLAND) ACT 2003
TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF CORE PATH SA29: ALLOWAY TO DUNURE ROAD CYCLE ROUTE (CORANBAE PLACE TO DUNURE ROAD SECTON)
The Council gives notice it intends closing temporarily, to the public, that section of Core Path SA29: Alloway to Dunure Road cycle route described in Part 1 of the Schedule below. Temporary closure of the Path is necessary to permit the relocation of Scottish Water mains, to facilitate the construction, by the Ayrshire Roads Alliance, of a cycle underpass under the A719 on Dunure Road, in accordance with planning permission granted.
The affected section of the Path will be closed for the duration of the works, which are expected to commence on 24 May 2021 and last for approximately 2 weeks. On completion of the works, the Path will be fully re-opened to the public.
Persons wishing to access Dunure Road or National Cycle Route 7, to the west of the closed section of SA29, or the section of SA29 to the east of the closed section, during the period of the works should follow the signposted diversion route described in Part 2 of the Schedule below.
For their own safety and the safety of the contractor undertaking the works, members of the public should not attempt to access the closed section of the Path during the specified period.
A plan showing the section of the Core Path to be closed temporarily and the signposted diversion route may be viewed at: https://www.south-ayrshire.gov.uk/outdooraccess/public-notices.aspx
