THE ISLE OF WIGHT COUNCIL (VARIOUS STREETS, GURNARD) (TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER NO 1 2021
Notice is hereby given thatthe Isle of Wight Council in exercise of their powers under section 1 (1) and (2), 2(1) to (3) and 4(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended ('the Act' of 1984), and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with The Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act of 1984 propose to make an order the effect of which will be to:
1. To re-enact the provisions contained therein subject to the following amendments:
a. To introduce 'No Waiting at Any Time' in the following lengths of road:
Baring Road, on the west side from a point 12 metres north to a point 66 metres south of its junction with Crossfield Avenue.
Baring Road, on the west side, from a point 18.5 metres north to a point 34.5 metres north of its junction with Tuttons Hill.
Baring Road, on the south-west side, from a point 11.5 metres north-west to a point 10 metres south-east of its junction with Debourne Manor Drive.
Marsh Road, on the north side from a point 73.5 metres west to a point 90 metres west of its junction with Lower Church Road.
Marsh Road, on the north side from a point 121 metres west to a point 137.5 metres west of its junction with Lower Church Road.
Marsh Road, on the north side from a point 174.5 metres west to a point 191 metres west of its junction with Lower Church Road.
Princes Esplanade, on the west side from a point 188 metres north to a point 198 metres north of its junction with Woodvale Road.
b. To introduce 'No Waiting at Any Time, No Loading 0800 to 0900 and 1430 to 1630 hours' in the following length of road:
Woodvale Road, on both sides, from its junction with Baring Road to a point 108 metres west thereof.
c. To introduce 'Limited Waiting, 15 minutes, No Return Within 15 Minutes, Monday to Friday, 0800 to 0900 and 1430 to 1630 hours' in the following length of road:
Baring Road, on the north-west side, from a point 111.5 metres north-east to a point 148 metres north-east of its junction with Woodvale Road.
The amendments are being proposed to facilitate the passage on the road or any other road of any class of traffic (including pedestrians) and for avoiding danger to persons or other traffic using the road or any other road or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising; A copy of the draft Order, this Notice and the relevant plan may be inspected between normal office hours at the Customer Service Centre, County Hall, Newport, Isle of Wight during the objection period.
