Notice ID: MFN0606519

Notice effective from
22nd April 2021 to 22nd May 2021

M1 MOTORWAY
(LONDON GATEWAY SERVICES)
TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS
Notice is hereby given that Highways England Company Limited intends to make an Order on the M1 Motorway in the London Borough of Barnet, under Section 14(1 )(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 because works are proposed to be executed on the road. The effect of the Order would be to authorise the overnight closure of the slip roads leading to and from both carriageways of the M1 at London Gateway Services. These measures would be in the interests of road safety while contractors undertake street lighting, electrical, drainage, and geotechnical works and inspections, and all associated works and sundry maintenance. It is expected that the work would last for approximately 4 weeks starting on or after Monday 17th May 2021. The overnight closures would take place between 21:00 and 06:00 hours (maximum period). The Order would come into force on 15th May 2021 and have a maximum duration of eighteen months, ceasing when the works are complete. Traffic affected by the closures would be diverted via other junctions of the M1 and by using the A406. The diversion route would vary depending on the closure in force. Access to properties in the closure would be maintained under escort. The temporary closures and diversion routes would be clearly indicated by traffic signs when they are in operation during the works period.
