A27 TRUNK ROAD (HOLMBUSH INTERCHANGE) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS
Notice is hereby given that Highways England Company Limited intends to make an Order on the A27 Trunk Road in the County of West Sussex, under Section 14(1 )(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 because works are proposed to be executed on the road.
The effect of the Order would be to authorise the overnight closure of the road leading from the eastbound carriageway of the A27 at Holmbush Interchange (A270).
This measure would be in the interests of road safety while contractors undertake bridge works and all associated works.
It is expected that the work would last for approximately 2 weekends starting on or after Friday 14th May 2021. The full weekend closures would take place between 20:00 on Friday and 06:00 on Monday (maximum period). The Order would come into force on 12th May 2021 and have a maximum duration of eighteen months, ceasing when the works are complete.
Traffic affected by the closure would be diverted using the A293 and A270. The temporary closures and diversion routes would be clearly indicated by traffic signs when they are in operation during the works period.
