Notice is hereby given that Essex County Council are seeking planning permission for a new link road between the existing A120 and A133 inclusive of a grade separated dumbbell junction at the A120, with new accesses to an existing petrol station (Ardlelgh South Services) and Colchester Waste Transfer Station; a new roundabout at the junction with the A133; and two intermediate roundabouts along the link road. Together with other associated works and landscaping on land between the A120 and A133, to the east of Colchester and west of Elmstead Market - Planning Application Ref: CC/TEN/31/21 The proposal may affect the setting of Allen's Farmhouse, Tye Road which is a Grade II Listed Building. Indirect effects to other heritage assets, within a 1 km radius of the red line boundary of the application, including Grade I, Grade II and Grade II* Listed Buildings and Wivenhoe Park Registered Park and Garden may also result. Footpath 2 (Elmstead) and Restricted Byway 21 (Elmstead) would be affected by the proposal. Turnip Lodge Lane is also proposed to partially stopped-up to vehicular traffic with Tye Road similarly proposed to be stopped-up with a turning head at the point of severance by the link road.

(Queen Street, Coggeshall) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2021
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Queen Street, Coggeshall in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Gardeners Row to its junction with Jaggards Road a distance of approximately 75m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 5th May 2021 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03010629268 -Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while disconnection works are undertaken by Anglian Water. An alternative route is available via Queen Street, Vane Lane, Church Street, Stoneham Street and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 15th April 2021 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
