PROPOSED INTRODUCTION OF ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING BAYS AND CHARGING POINTS - BECKFORD ROAD, CROYDON, COBDEN ROAD & DICKENSON'S LANE, SOUTH NORWOOD, FRIMLEY CLOSE, NEW ADDINGTON & HATCH ROAD, NORBURY.
The Croydon (Prohibition and Restriction of Stopping, Loading and Waiting) and (Free Parking Places) (No. 2) Order 2021 The Croydon (On-Street Charged-For Parking Places) (No.2) Order 2021
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Croydon Council on 06 April 2021 made the above Traffic Orders under the relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended and all other enabling powers.

2. The general effect of the Orders will be:-

(a) To provide parking places which may be used free of charge by electrically propelled vehicles that are being charged with electrical power, operational at any time on Mondays to Sundays inclusive, in the locations detailed in the Schedule to this Notice.

(b) To install electric vehicle charging points adjacent to the proposed parking places, as specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

(c) To amend the map-based tiles to the Schedule attached to the above Orders so as to accurately represent the new parking arrangements as they exist on site.

NOTE: although parking in the electric vehicle bays is free of charge there is a cost involved in the use of the adjacent electric vehicle charging point.

3. Copies of the Orders, which will come into operation on 12 April 2021 and of all associated Orders can be inspected between 9am and 4pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the end of six weeks from the date on which the Orders were made, at the Enquiry Counter, "Access Croydon' Facility, Bernard Weatherill House, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon, CR0 1EA.

4. Copies of the Orders may also be obtained from Parking Design, 6th Floor Zone C, Bernard Weatherill House, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon CR0 1 EA (email:

parking.design@croydon.gov.uk

).

5. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made there under have not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks of the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT, 1984, SECTION 14 AS AMENDED THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991 AND ALL OTHER ENABLING POWERS COULSDON COURT ROAD, COULSDON TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC

1. Croydon Council, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate works to install a new water connection they have made an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicular traffic movements in Coulsdon Court Road.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place Coulsdon Court Road will be closed outside No. 25 Coulsdon Court Road.

3. Whilst the Order remains in force the alternative route for traffic will be via Cearn Way and Coulsdon Road, as appropriately signed.

4. The Order will come into operation on 12 April 2021 and it is anticipated that the works will be completed on 30 April 2021. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.

5. The restriction shall not apply in respect of:

(a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said works;

(b) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes;

(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

ROLLESTON ROAD, SOUTH CROYDON NOTICE OF TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC & PARKING
1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate works to install a new water service connection they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic and parking in Rolleston Road.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place:-

(a) The carriageway of Rolleston Road will be closed outside Nos. 1 to 9 Rolleston Road;

(b) The southern footway of Rolleston Road opposite Nos. 1 to 9 Rolleston Road will be closed to pedestrians;

(c) Parking will be suspended and waiting and loading restrictions will apply "at any time" outside Nos. 1 to 9 Rolleston Road on both sides.

3. During the closure the diversion routes for vehicular traffic will be as detailed below and appropriately signed. Pedestrians will be diverted to the opposite footway.

(i) Southbound Bynes Road: via Bynes Road and Sanderstead Road.

(ii) Northbound Sanderstead Road: via Sanderstead Road, Brighton Road and Bynes Road.

(iii) Southbound Sanderstead Road: via Sanderstead Road, Purley Road, Brighton Road and Bynes Road.

4. The Order will come into operation on 12 April 2021 and it is anticipated that the works will be carried out within approximately seven days. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.

5. The restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

(a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said works;

(b) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes;

(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT, 1984, SECTION 14 AS AMENDED THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991 AND ALL OTHER ENABLING POWERS WHITGIFT STREET, CROYDON TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC

1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate a new telecommunication connection, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily prohibit vehicular traffic movements in Whitgift Street, Croydon.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place, Whitgift Street in Croydon will be closed outside No.2.

3. Whilst the closure remains in force the alternative route for diverted traffic will be via local streets as appropriately signed.

4. The Order will come into operation on 15 April 2021 and it is anticipated that the works will be carried out in 1 day. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required. The prohibitions will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT, 1984, SECTION 14 AS AMENDED BY SECTION 4 (7) OF SCHEDULE 5 TO THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT 1985 AND THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991

WHITWORTH ROAD & SELHURST ROAD, SOUTH NORWOOD TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICULAR & PEDESTRIAN TRAFFIC
1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate ducting works on behalf of BT, they have made an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily restrict traffic in Whitworth Road and Selhurst Road.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place:

(a) Whitworth Road will be closed at its junction with Selhurst Road;

(b) The north-western footway of Selhurst Road will be closed between the junction with Whitworth Road and No. 243 Selhurst Road;

(c) The bus stop outside Nos. 202 and 204 Selhurst Road will be suspended.

3 Whilst the closure is in force the diversion route for vehicular traffic will be via Selhurst Road and Upper Grove, as appropriately signed. Traffic in Selhurst Road will be a single lane controlled by temporary signals between the junction with Whitworth Road and No. 243 Selhurst Road in order to provide pedestrians with a walkway in the carriageway.

4 The restrictions shall not apply in respect of:

(a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said works;

(b) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes;

(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

5. The Order will come into operation on 12 April 2021 and it is anticipated that the works will be carried out within approximately four days. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be re-introduced should further works be required.
