THE M6 MOTORWAY [JUNCTION 42 NORTHBOUND & SOUTHBOUND SLIP ROADS)
[TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)
ORDER 2021
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Highways England Company Limited (Company No. 09346363) intends to make an Order on the M6 Motorway, in the District of Eden, in the County of Cumbria, to enable resurfacing works at the Golden Fleece Roundabout by Cumbria County Council, to be carried out in safety. The Order will ban all traffic from the following sections of the M6 Motorway:
i. the northbound exit and entry slip roads at J42;

ii. the southbound exit and entry slip roads at J42. The works will be carried out in three phases as indicated by traffic signs. The slip road closures will take place overnight between 19:00 and 06:00, during a period starting on Monday

10 May 2021 and ending on Friday 21 May 2021. However, works may start and continue between the same times on subsequent nights, or continue until completed.
Diversion routes via alternative junctions of the M6 will be well signed. The prohibitions will not apply to emergency services, works or traffic officer vehicles and will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by traffic signs.
