BRIGHTON & HOVE VARIOUS CONTROLLED PARKING ZONES CONSOLIDATION ORDER 2018 AMENDMENT ORDER NO.6 2021 (REF: TRO-29A-2020)
BRIGHTON & HOVE (FRANCIS STREET) TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT ORDER 2021 (TRO-29B-2020)
NOTICE is hereby given that Brighton & Hove City Council ('the Council') has on 31 March 2021 made the Orders named above under the relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended which when it comes into operation on 12 April 2021 will introduce the following changes:
? No loading at any time will be introduced on both sides of Francis Street
? The restricted zone will be revoked and both double yellow lines and the loading ban will be lined on street.
? Introduction of prohibition of motor vehicles except for access into Francis Street from Ditchling Road junction.
? One-Way in Francis Street (Westwards from Ditchling Road) will be amended to allow cyclists to travel contraflow
? Prohibition of Right Turn and Left Turn into Francis Street from London Road (except cyclists)
Modifications
Following comments to the proposals some changes to the order as originally proposed and advertised on on 16 October 2020 are as follows:-Brighton & Hove Various Controlled Parking Zones Consolidation Order 2018 Amendment Order No.* 202* (ref: TRO-29a-2020) - the no loading ban is reduced and no longer will cover both sides for its entire length. Any person who wishes to question the validity of these Orders or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Act, or that any requirements of the Act or of any instrument made under it have not been complied with may, within six weeks from the date on which the Orders were made, apply to the High Court for that purpose.
