Temporary Closure of Park Road, Swanage
DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along PARK ROAD, SWANAGE between its junctions with High Street and Marshall Row (in both directions), a distance of approximately 40 metres. The Order is needed to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on Wednesday 14th April 2021 and will remain in force for 18 months. However it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Friday 23rd April 2021.
This Order will enable Wessex Water safe access to carry out sewer renovation works.
Alternative vehicular routes will be signed, using the local road network.
