The Late Henry Hathaway Foreman
Born 13 March 1928 Died 18 August 2018 Last of 2 Silverbeech Road, Wallasey, Wlrral, CH44 9BZ
Request for assistance:
I am appealing for help to assist me In making a claim on behalf of the family of the Late Henry Hathaway Foreman against Cammell Laird Shipbuilders & Engineers Limited and other employers. Henry had worked from 1944 to 1946; 1948 to 1950 and from 1958 to 1960 as a fitter and turner at Cammell Laird Shipyard In Birkenhead. In the final period between 1958 and 1960, he was a charge hand/fitter. He was responsible for the construction of work which included marine engines and the testing and installation of ships at sea. He was also an engineer on the Ulster Prince from 1950 to 1951 and on the Reina Del Pacifico between 1951 and 1952. Did you know Henry, did you work with him or are you able to provide evidence of the working conditions on board the ships, whether being constructed and/or whether sailing on? We are attempting to establish that Henry had been exposed to asbestos at levels sufficient to cause him to suffer from asbestosis and for pleural thickening. You may have had a claim yourself or on behalf of a family member. You therefore could be holding vital evidence which would be of assistance in proving Henry's case. The insurance company for the Defendants have so far refused to admit responsibility for the claim without evidence to directly support that Henry had been exposed to asbestos whilst working for the various companies. Are you therefore able to help in establishing these working conditions? Any help you are able to give to me would be gratefully received. Would you please contact Norman Jones at Percy Hughes & Roberts, 19 Hamilton Square, Birkenhead, CH41 6AY via email on
