(SHADFORTH FOOTPATH NO. 2) (TEMPORARY FOOTPATH CLOSURE) ORDER 2021
The Council on 3/3/21 made the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended, Section 14 (1) to prohibit all pedestrian traffic from proceeding on 100m of Shadforth Footpath (FP) No.2 between its junctions with (FP) Nos 1 & 2 by reason of likelihood of danger to the public and to permit boardwalk repair/renewal works proposed to be executed on or adj to the said footpath. Alt route continuing on (FP) 1 and turning right onto (FP) 3 and vice versa. The rnaxirnum duration of the Order is 6 months. The Order will be effective from 10/3/21 and will be required for a period of 6 months. On occasions, alternative dates for closure may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly.
(BYWAY NO 65 CONSETT PARISH. HAMSTERLEY MILL) (TEMPORARY BYWAY CLOSURE) ORDER 2021
The Council on 5/3/21 made the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended, Section 14 (1) to prohibit all traffic from proceeding on 450m of Byway No 65 Consett Parish that extends southwards from its junction with B6310, Hamsterley Mill by reason of likelihood of danger to the public and to permit land slip remedial works to be carried out on or adj to the said byway. Alt route for pedestrian traffic from the northern side of the closure easterly on B6310 for approx 115m then southerly on Footpath (FP) No.164 Stanley Parish then turning south westerly and north westerly on FP No.173 and southerly on FP No.175 then westerly and northerly on FP No.177 crossing the Footbridge onto FP No.65 Consett Parish to Byway No.65 to the southern side of the closure and vice versa No alt route available to vehicular, equestrian and cycle traffic. The maximum duration of the Order is 6 months. The works are expected to commence on 17/3/21 and are anticipated to be completed in 6 months. On occasions, alternative dates for closure may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly.
(FOOTPATH NO 1 BELMONT PARISH. KEPIER WOOD, DURHAM) (TEMPORARY FOOTPATH CLOSURE) ORDER 2021
The Council on 5/3/21 made the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended, Section 14 (1) to prohibit all pedestrian traffic from proceeding on 1650m of Footpath No 1 Belmont Parish that extends northwards from its junction with Footpath No 7, Kepier Woods, Durham by reason of likelihood of danger to the general public and to enable remedial works to be undertaken. Alt route will not be available to pedestrian traffic during the closure period. The maximum duration of the Order is 6 months. The Order will commence on 17/3/21 and is anticipated to be required for 6 months. On occasions, alternative dates for closure may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly.
(B6300 BURNIGILL BANK, BROWNEY) (TEMPORARY SPEED RESTRICTION) ORDER 2021
The Council on 5/3/21 made the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended, Section 14 (1) to restrict all vehicular traffic from travelling at a speed in excess of 40 mph from a point 230m west of the western side of the junction to Sunderland Bridge and westwards for a distance of 620m, Browney by reason of uneven ground conditions and for traffic safety. The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months. The proposed restrictions are to commence from 16/3/21 and will be necessary until remediation works are completed (which may be for around 12 months). On occasions, alternative dates for closure may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly.
(ALDIN GRANGE TERRACE. BEARPARK) (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2021
The Council on 5/3/21 made the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended, Section 14 (1) to prohibit all vehicular traffic from proceeding on 230m of Aldin Grange Tee (rear), Bearpark between its junctions with Colliery Rd and Anton Stile to enable sewer lining works to be undertaken. No alt route available to vehicular traffic. The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months. The proposed works are to commence from 8.30am on 15/3/21 and are anticipated to be completed in 5 working days. On occasions, alternative dates for closure may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly.
(HANGINGSTONE LANE, ANNFIELD PLAIN) (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2021
The Council on 5/3/21 made the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended, Section 14 (1) to prohibit all vehicular traffic from proceeding on 1410m of Hangingstone Ln, Annfield Plain from the junction with Stonyheap Ln at the north western side of closure in a south easterly direction to the junction with Gorecock Ln to enable street pole replacement works to be undertaken. Alt route will be signposted from the north western side of closure in a north westerly direction on Brooms Ln, then north easterly on A692, then south easterly on A693, and southerly on Gorecock Ln to south eastern side of closure and vice versa. The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months. The proposed works are to commence from 8.30am to 6pm daily on 16/3/21 and are anticipated to be completed in 3 days. On occasions, alternative dates for closure may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly.
(A691 FRAMWELLGATE PETH. DURHAM) (PHASED TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2021
The Council proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended, Section 14 (1) to prohibit all vehicular traffic from proceeding on the A691; 1) north westbound carriageway for 375m from the junction with Highgate in a north westerly direction to the access to Wharton Park, 2) south eastbound carriageway for 245m from the junction with the former access to the Railway Car Park to the junction with Diamond Tee, Durham to enable railway bridge de-vegetation works to be undertaken. It will also be necessary to suspend Article 3 of the County Council of Durham (A691 Framwellgate Peth) (Prohibition of Right Turns) Order 2004 during the closure to enable a right turn egress from Highgate into A691. Alt route from the 1) southern side of the closure westerly via A690 to North Rd roundabout, then northerly on North Rd to A691 and County Hall roundabout then south easterly on A691 to the northern side of the closure, 2) northern side of the closure crossing A691 and travelling south on North Rd to A690 then easterly on A690 to the southern side of the closure. The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months. The proposed works are to commence from 10pm on 4/5/21 and are anticipated to be completed in 8 hours. On occasions, alternative dates for closure may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly.
(BRIDLEWAY NO 38 SHADFORTH PARISH, OFF KELL CRESCENT, SHERBURN HILL) (TEMPORARY BRIDLEWAY CLOSURE) ORDER 2021
The Council proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended, Section 14 (1) to prohibit all traffic from proceeding on 310m of Bridleway (BW) No 38 that extends northwards from Footpath (FP) No 42 north of Kell Cres to BW No 5 south of Cooks Hold Farm, Sherburn Hill to enable demolition and construction works to be undertaken. Alt route from the southern side of the closure from the rear of Kell Cres via a temp BW from FP No. 42 heading northwards to Cookshold Ln to the northern side of the closure, and vice versa. The maximum duration of the Order is 6 months. The proposed works are to commence on 1/4/21 and are anticipated to be completed in 6 months. On occasions, alternative dates for closure may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly.
(THE PARADE. PELTON) (TEMPORARY FOOTPATH CLOSURE) ORDER 2021
The Council proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended, Section 14 (1) to prohibit all pedestrian traffic from proceeding on 60m of Footpath (FP) that extends northerly from Pelton Ln past 16 The Parade to 31 Elm Ave and inc 34m of FP at the junction with Pelton Ln, Pelton to enable new housing development connection installation works to be undertaken. Alt route from the northern side of the closure in an easterly direction on Elm Ave, in a southerly direction on Oak Tee and in a westerly direction on The Parade to the south eastern side of the closure and vice versa. The maximum duration of the Order is 6 months. The proposed works are to commence from 8am on 1/4/21 and are anticipated to be completed in 21 days. On occasions, alternative dates for closure may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly.
