Temporary Closure of Valley Road, Tarrant Launceston
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along Valley Road, Tarrant Launceston between A354 Salisbury Road and Tarrant Monkton Ford (in both directions), a distance of approximately 1900 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 15 March 2021 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 26 March 2021.
This Order will enable Wessex Water safe access to replace a water main. An alternative vehicular route will be signed via A354 Salisbury Road, A354 Blandford Bypass, B3082 Wimborne Road and Blandford Road. Residents access will be maintained.

Temporary Closure of Friar Waddon Lane, Friar Waddon
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along FRIAR WADDON LANE, FRIAR WADDON from its junction with Corton for a distance of approximately 100 metres. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 8 March 2021 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 2 May 2021. This Order will enable National Grid Company, safe access to install ducts across carriageway for EH V cables.
An alternative route will be signed using: Friar Waddon Road - B3159 - Blagdon Hill - Portesham Hill - Winters Lane.
