Temporary Closure of Friar Waddon Lane, Friar Waddon
DORSET COUNCIL Intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along FRIAR WADDON LANE, FRIAR WADDON from its junction with Corton for a distance of approximately 100 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 8 March 2021 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 2 May 2021.
This Order will enable National Grid Company, safe access to install ducts across carriageway for EHV cables.
An alternative vehicular route will be signed using; Friar Waddon Road - B3159 -Blagdon Hill - Portesham Hill - Winters Lane.

Temporary Closure of Church Lane, Lower Blandford St Mary
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along Church Lane, Lower Blandford St Mary between A350 Bournemouth Road to a point approximately 20 metres to the north. The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It came into operation on 10 February 2021 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 31 March 2021. This Order will enable Mackoy Ltd to install storm drainage in relation to the 278 works for the new development south of Badger Roundabout. The alternative vehicular route, which will be sign posted via Church Lane & A350 Bournemouth Road.
