Temporary Closure of Bridge Street/Church Street, Lyme Regis
DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along BRIDGE STREET/ CHURCH STREET, LYME REGIS between its junction with Coombe Street and its junction with Monmouth Street, a distance of approximately 115 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 1 March 2021 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 28 March 2021.
This Order will enable Lyme Regis Town Council to accommodate scaffolding to carry out works to the Guildhalls oriel window.
An alternative vehicular route will be signed using; A3052 - A358 - A35 - A3052. Dorset Council (Part of Bridleway 39, Symondsbury at Lower Eype Farm) Public Path Diversion Order 2021
The above order, made on 8 January 2021, under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980, will divert part of Bridleway 39, Symondsbury at Lower Eype Farm as shown on the order map as follows:
From the existing way:
The full width of the bridleway from the unaffected part of Bridleway 39, Symondsbury, south west of Lower Eype Farm at SY 44689171, generally east along a grass surfaced track to SY 44739171 and continuning east across a concrete yard to rejoin the unaffected part of Bridleway 39, Symondsbury, north north east of Dairy Cottage at SY 44789171.
To the new way:
From the unaffected part of Bridleway 39, Symondsbury, south west of Lower Eype Farm at SY 44689171, generally east north east along a grass surfaced track to SY 44699172 then north east along the track to its junction with the current route of Footpath 43, Symondsbury at SY 44729175. Continue north east (following the current route of Footpath 43 (part to be upgraded to Bridleway)), then turning south east to SY 44749175 and then generally south east along a concrete surfaced track to rejoin the unaffected part of Bridleway 39, Symondsbury, north north east of Dairy Cottage at SY 44789171. The width varies: 3.4 metres between SY 44689171 and SY 44749175, narrowing to 3 metres between SY 44749175 and SY 44789171.

If the order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation any representations and objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the order.
