TAUNTON DEANE ORDER 2012 (AMENDMENT NO. 29) EXPERIMENTAL ORDER 2021
Notice is hereby given that on the 29th January 2021 Somerset County Council made an Experimental Order in exercise of its powers under Sections 1, 2, 4, 9, 10, 32, 35, 53, and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (hereinafter referred to as 'the Act of 1984') as amended; and the Traffic Management Act 2004, (hereinafter referred to as 'the Act of 2004') as amended, and all other enabling powers. The effect will result in the introduction on an experimental basis the following proposed restrictions and permit cost and eligibility described below
The Triangle, Taunton
Proposed charges applicable Monday to Sunday. 8.30am to 6.00pm
First annual permit
Nil during period of experimental order thereafter £60, vehicle emissions up to 100g/km, 100% discount, 100 to 110g/km, 50% discount.
Second annual resident permit
£100
Daily visitor scratchcard
30p per permit, annual allocation 100 per 12 month period (sold in units of 10)
Annual visitor permit
£60
Eligibility
13 to 63 Priorswood Rd (odds), 28 to 40 Wellesley St (evens)
The Order shall come into force on 8th February 2021 and will remain in force for a maximum of 18 months. If you would like to see a copy of the experimental order, a map and a copy of the Council's Statement of Reasons for making the order, you may do so on the Somerset County Council website:

Any person may object to the indefinite continuation of the experimental order within six months of the experimental order coming into operation. If you would like to send a letter about the scheme, please check that you:
1. Include reasons for any comments you make regarding any decision to make an Order for the Indefinite continuation of this scheme. Comments In support of the scheme are also invited;
2. Send all comments in writing to Somerset County Council, Traffic Management, County Hall, Taunton, TA1 4DY or email

The names and addresses of anyone writing in may be made available for public inspection and will be included in a report that may be published on the Somerset County Council website, unless the individuals concerned state, in writing, their objection to their names and address being made so available or being included in the publication.
