The County of Dorset (Various Roads, Litton Cheney) (30 mph Speed Limit) (No/) Order 202'
Dorset Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 84(1) and (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order will be to introduce a 30mph speed limit on following lengths of road in Litton Cheney:

For its entire length
Hine's Mead Lane
For its entire length
Cow Lane
For its entire length
Litton Lane
From its junction with Cox Lane in south westerly direction for approximately 603 metres
Cox's Lane
From its junction with Litton Lane in a southernly direction to its junction with Cow Lane
White Way
From its junction with Main Street in a northernly direction for approximately 100 metres
Chalk Pit Lane
From its junction with Main Street in a westerly direction for approximately 460 metres

Traffic Management Order Dorset Council (Waiting, Loading, Stopping and Parking Places) (Map Based) (No.1) Order 2021
Dorset Council proposes to make the above Traffic Regulation Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) 1. The effect of these proposals is as follows: TRO -1001 The effect of the above order will be to reintroduce all static parking, waiting, loading and stopping restrictions currently enforced within the County into a revised map-based format. There will be no material change to any of the operational specifications or dimensions of those restrictions.
Due to the current Covid-19 situation, it is not possible for Dorset Council to have documents on deposit for people to view at County Hall. If you would like further information, please contact us by emailing

Temporary Parking Restrictions, Commercial Road & Custom House Quay, Weymouth
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 8 February 2021 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 2 April 2021.
This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out drainage and kerb repair works associated with the removal of the branch line. The effect of the Order is to;
[1] To impose parking restrictions as indicated by signs on site to prevent waiting or parking on the highway along Commercial Road & Custom House Quay, Weymouth between its junction with Lower St Edmund Street and its junction with The Esplanade. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by this Notice may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

Temporary Closure of St Thomas Street, Weymouth
DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along ST THOMAS STREET, WEYMOUTH between Iceland and its junction with Lower St Alban Street, a distance of approximately 15 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 15 February 2021 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 12 March 2021.
This Order will enable SGN, safe access to carry out gas mains connection to newly laid pipe in St Alban Street plus gas mains disconnection to decomissioned metalic asset. Dorset Council Town and Country Planning Act 1990S.232(4) Local Government Act 1972 S.123(2a) Land Off Pinemoor Close Brackendown Avenue, Preston, Weymouth
DORSET COUNCIL gives notice of its intention to appropriate (under S.232 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990) to purposes it is authorised to acquire land under the Local Government Act 1972, the land described below and which includes open space land. DORSET COUNCIL also gives notice of its intention (following appropriation) to dispose (under S.123 of the Local Government Act 1972) of the land to Weymouth Town Council for allotments and the continued provision thereon of public open space.
