Temporary Closure of Belle Vue, Weymouth
DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along BELLE VUE, WEYMOUTH for its entirety. The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 15 February 2021 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 12 March 2021.
This Order will enable SGN, safe access to relay gas main.
An alternative vehicular route will be signed using; The Esplanade - Custom House Quay - East Street.

Temporary Parking Restrictions

Commercial Road & Custom House Quay, Weymouth
DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 8 February 2021 and will remain in force for 18 months and can be extended with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport if necessary; however, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 2 April 2021.
This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out drainage and kerb repair works associated with the removal of the branch line.
The effect of the Order is to;
[1] Impose parking restrictions as indicated by signs on site to prevent waiting or parking on the highway along Commercial Road & Custom House Quay, Weymouth between its junction with Lower St Edmund Street and its junction with The Esplanade.

Notice of Confirmation of a Public Path Diversion and
Definitive Map and Statement Modification Order Highways Act 1980
Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981

Dorset Council (Footpaths 9 (Part), 22 & Bridleways 7 (Part), 8 & 23, Piddlehinton and Bridleway 32 (Part), Puddletown at Muston Farm)
Public Path Diversion Order 2020
On 18 December 2020, Dorset Council confirmed the above named order made under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 as unopposed, and the Council has certified that work has been carried out to bring the site of the new highway mentioned in article 3 of the order into a fit condition for use by the public. The effect of the order as confirmed is to divert the footpaths and bridleways in the parishes of Piddlehinton and Puddletown as shown on the order map as follows:
From the existing ways and paths:
Part of Footpath 9, Piddlehinton:
The whole width of the footpath from the unaffected part of Footpath 9 at the southern field boundary (at the site of the medieval village of Little Piddle) at SY 71979639, south west across the field to its junction with the current route of Bridleway 23 at SY 71979638, then south south west and south across fields to rejoin the unaffected part of Footpath 9 at SY 71959633.
Bridleway 23, Piddlehinton:
The whole width of the bridleway from its junction with Bridleway 10, Piddlehinton at SY 71829645, south east then north east across a field to its junction with Footpaths 9 and 22, Piddlehinton at SY 71979638.
Footpath 22, Piddlehinton:
The whole width of the footpath from its junction with Bridleway 23 and Footpath 9, Piddlehinton at SY 71979638, south east across fields and passing through a copse, to its junction with Bridleways 7 and 8, Piddlehinton, north of Muston Farm at SY 72269594.
Part of Bridleway 7r Piddlehinton:
The whole width of the bridleway from its junction with Footpath 22 and Bridleway 8, Piddlehinton north of Muston Farm at SY 72269594, west south west through the farmyard, along a farm track, to rejoin the unaffected part of Bridleway 7 at SY 72169591.
Bridleway 8, Piddlehinton:
The whole width of the bridleway from its junction with Bridleway 7 and Footpath 22, Piddlehinton, north of Muston Farm at SY 72269594, south east through the farmyard and across a field to its junction with Bridleway 32, Puddletown at the Puddletown parish boundary at SY 72459582.
Part of Bridleway 32. Puddletown:
The whole width of the bridleway from its junction with Bridleway 8, Piddlehinton at the Piddlehinton parish boundary at SY 72459582, south east across a field and along a stone/gravel surfaced track to rejoin the unaffected part of Bridleway 32 at SY 72589562.
To the new ways and path:
Footpath 9 Piddlehinton:
From the unaffected part of Footpath 9 at SY 71979639, south west along the edge of the field to its junction with the proposed new Bridleway 26 at SY 71939636, then continue south east across the field to rejoin the unaffected part of Footpath 9 at SY 71959633. Width: 3 metres, except for 1.525 metres at SY 71939636.
A Bridleway, Piddlehinton:
To be numbered Bridleway 26, Piddlehinton From its junction with Bridleway 10, Piddlehinton at SY 71839646, south east across a field to its junction with Footpath 9 at the field boundary at SY 71939636, then south east across a second field, (via SY 71959633), to the field boundary at SY 72159607. Continue south east, along a grass and earth surfaced farm track, to SY 72209601, then turning west south west, along a grass surfaced track fenced on both sides, passing around the northern side of farm buildings to SY 72129596 then south south east to its junction with Bridleway 7 at SY 72169591. Continue south east, along a grass surfaced track, fenced on both sides, to SY 72239582, then south east passing through a copse to SY 72299576, turning east north east through the copse and along a grass surfaced track, to its junction with the proposed new route of Bridleway 32, Puddletown at the Puddletown parish boundary at SY 72449582. Width: 3 metres, except for 1.525 metres at SY 71839646 and SY 71939636 and 1.8 metres at SY 72159607 and SY 72239582.
Bridleway 32, Puddletown:
From its junction with proposed Bridleway 26, Piddlehinton at the Piddlehinton parish boundary at SY 72449582, south east along a grass surfaced track to rejoin the unaffected part of Bridleway 32 at SY 72589562. Width: 3 metres.

The order comes into force on 25 December 2020 but if any person aggrieved by the order wants to question Its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within six weeks from 28 January 2021, make an application to the High Court.
