(Tye Road (Crockleford Road), Elmstead) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2021
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close Tye Road (Crockleford Road), Elmstead in the District of Tending, from A133 Colchester Road for approximately 190m to new housing development site entrance.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 08/02/2021 to 22/03/2021 or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while installation of new utilities for new development (S50-1588) are undertaken.
The alternative route will be via A133 Colchester Road, Avon Way, Longridge, Bromley Road, Colchester Road, Hall Road, Parson's Hill, Prating Rd, Harwich and vice versa. The Order will come into effect on 08/02/2021 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Bridleway 2, Abberton/Bridleway 12, East Donyland) (Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2021
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close Bridleway 2, Abberton/Bridleway 12, East Donyland in the Borough of Colchester, from a point approximately 31 metres north east of Footpath 1, Abberton, north east for approximately 12 metres (entire span of the footbridge). The closure is scheduled to commence on 01/02/2021 to 26/02/2021 or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while a footbridge replacement is undertaken.
The Order will come into effect on 01/02/2021 and may continue in force for 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Layer Road, Abberton) (30mph Speed Limit) Order 2021
Notice is hereby given that Essex County Council Has Made the above Order under Sections 84(1) (a) and (2) and Part III of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To introduce a 30mph on the following lengths of roads Layer Road, Abberton in the Borough of Colchester:
Road Description
Layer Road From a point approximately 150 metres southeast of its junction with Rectory Lane, in a northwest direction for a length of approximately 185 metres.
Rectory Lane From its junction with Layer Road in a northwest direction for its entire length.
Date of operation: The Order will come into operation on 28 January 2021.

Application to the high court Anyone who wishes to question the validity of the Order of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, or any instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within six weeks from the date of the making of the Order apply to the High Court for this purpose.
(Artillery Street, Colchester) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2021
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Artillery Street, Colchester in the Borough of Colchester, from a point approximately 30m south of its junction with Barrack Street for a distance of approximately 30m in a southerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 15th February 2021 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30039620658 - UK Power Networks).
