NOTICE OF PUBLIC INQUIRY
Brighton & Hove City Council ("the Council") published on 5 December 2012 a notice of proposals to make the Orders named below under the relevant Sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended which if they come into force would introduce the changes described.

Notice is hereby given that in accordance with paragraph 9 of the Local Authorities Traffic Orders (Procedure) England and Wales Regulations 1996 a Public Inquiry will be held in order to hear representations for and against the proposed Orders. The Inquiry will commence on Wednesday 17th May 2013 at 10 a.m. at the Hilton Metropole Hotel, King's Road, Brighton BN1 2FU. The Inspector appointed to conduct the inquiry is Mr Ian D Jenkins. A pre-inquiry note has been issued by the Inspector and may be viewed on the Council's website at www.brighton-hove.gov.uk/oldtown.

Brighton & Hove (Brills Lane) (Prohibition of Driving) Order 20** (TRO-21b-2012)

? Prohibition of driving between 11am and 7pm with an access only restriction at all other times
? Prohibition of entry at its junction with East Street.

Brighton & Hove (East Street) (Prohibition of Driving) Order 20** (TRO-21C-2012) -21C
? Prohibition of driving between 11am and 7pm with an access only restriction at all other times (from existing taxi rank southwards to King's Road).

? Removal of driving prohibition in Little East Street.

Brighton & Hove (Prince Albert Street) (Prohibition of Driving) Order 20** (TRO-21d-2012)
? Prohibition of driving at all times (between junction with Ship Street and the north-western kerbline of Meeting House Lane).

Brighton & Hove (Ship Street) (Prohibition of Driving and One-Way Traffic ) Order 20** (TRO-21e-2012)
? Prohibition of driving from midnight to 8am and 11am to midnight with an access only restriction between those two periods.

? One-way traffic northwards only (reversing current direction). Brighton & Hove (Old Town) (Weight Restriction) Order 20** (TRO-21f-2012)

? Maximum weight Limit of 7.5 tonnes between 11am and midnight every day in Black Lion Street, Boyces Street, Duke Street (between Middle Street and Ship Street), Middle Street, Prince Albert Street, Ship Street and South Street.

Brighton & Hove Various Controlled Parking Zones Consolidation Order 2008 Amendment Order No.** 20** (TRO-21g-2012)
? Removal of pay & display parking bays and motorcycle bay in East Street and replacement by an extended loading only bay (between Batholomews and King's Road).

? Removal of pay & display parking bays in King's Road and replacement by an extended loading only bay (between East Street and Little East Street)

? New disabled person's parking bay in King's Road (to replace disused bus stop west of Little East Street)

? Removal of pay & display parking bays, loading bay and disabled person's parking bay in Prince Albert Street

? New disabled person's parking bay in Prince Albert Street (near Meeting House Lane)

? New loading only bay and removal of pay & display parking bays in Ship Street (between Duke Street and North Street)

Brighton & Hove (Waiting & Loading/Unloading Restrictions and Parking Places) Consolidation Order 2008 Amendment Order No.** 20** CTRO-21h-2012)
? Southbound (contraflow) cycle lane on east side of Ship Street between North Street and Duke Street (existing cycle lane on west side to be removed).

? Hove Central Library, Church Road, Monday 1.30pm-5.30pm, Tuesday 9.30am-7.30pm, Wednesday to Friday 9.30am-5.30pm and Saturday 9.30am-5.00pm

Written representations for the consideration of the Inspector may be made by any person wishing to do so and must be sent to the Executive Director Environment, Housing and Development, Brighton & Hove City Council, Parking Infrastructure, Hove Town Hall (room 323), Norton Road, Hove, BN3 3BQ quoting the TRO reference number(s) shown above or by e-mail to mailto:parking.consultation@brighton-hove.gov.uk no later than 7 June 2013.
