PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION AND DEFINITIVE MAP MODIFICATION ORDER 2021
The above named Order made on 5 January 2021 under Section 119 ofthe Highways Act 1980 and Section 53 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 will divert the full width of that section of public footpath no 540005 situate at Queen Elizabeth School in the parish of Kirkby Lonsdale from GR 360710 478558 southwards for about 101 metres to GR 360706 478457; to run from
GR 360710 478558 southwards for about 35 metres to GR 360712 478522; then eastwards for about 7 metres to bottom of steps at GR 360718 478521; then a further 6 metres via 6 steps to GR 360725 478521; turning southwards for about 5 metres via 5 steps to GR 360725 478517; then westwards for about 5 metres to GR 360720 478516; then southwards for about 14 metres to GR 360721 478502; then turning eastwards for about 4 metres to GR 360726 478502; then southwards for about 42 metres to GR 360729 478461; turning west-southwestwards for about 24 metres to GR 360706 478457. The width ofthe new section of path will vary from 1.8 metres; 1.9 metres; 1.7 metres; 2.3 metres; 1.9 metres and 1.8 metres; and GR 360718 478521 eastwards following ramp for about 23 metres to GR 360741 478524; turning southwards for about 2 metres to GR 360741 478522; then westwards for about 14 metres to GR 360727 478521; then southwards for about 5 metres to GR 360727 478517; then westwards for about 2 metres to GR 360725 478517. The width of the new section of path will vary from 1.4 metres narrowing to 1.2 metres, 1.5 metres and 1.9 metres.

Any supporting statements or objections with respect to the Order can be sent in writing to the Countryside Access Team, (by post or email at addresses above) to be received not later than 11 February 2021 and should state the grounds on which they are made.
If no objections are duly made or if any so made are withdrawn the Cumbria County Council may confirm the Order as an unopposed Order. If the Order is submitted to the Secretary of State any objections which have not been withdrawn will be submitted with the Order. Chief Legal Officer
