Herefordshire Council Notice of Making
NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, have, under its relevant powers, made the following Order: A40 Lea From B4224 To Gloucestershire Boundary, Lea, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the A40 Lea From B4224 To Gloucestershire Boundary, Lea, between The Crown Inn and the entrance to Crown Bams. Grid Ref: 366187/221795. The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via the M50 onto the A417 and vice versa.
The said closure is required due to flood management works and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 11th of January 2021 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 6 weeks.
